I like the fact that the location was close to city centre, it was easily accessible. I like the TV as well, it kept me busy.

I will start with the bed, that bed needs to be changed, at day 4 I stopped sleeping on the bed and resorted to the sofa cos It gave me body ache. And then the duvet needs thorough disinfecting, each time I use I got rashes all over my legs. The floor is also very dirty. My room had this awful odour. Bigger pots will be useful

Good central location

Property was quite dirty. Found old socks next to a desk and when walked in socks on the filthy floor had to change them as they would get dirty in minutes. Shower was only working on boiling hot setting so had to use other rooms ensuit shower. Homeless people sleeping in the hallways, so not very safe. Entrance to the place looks very rough.

location is very central, 10 minute walk from the train station and 5 mins into the city centre. the toilet worked fine, facilities all worked fine. check in instructions were straightforward. the owners have excellent communication too. if you like bugs and centipedes that come up from mouldy floorboards you’ll love it here.

first impressions of the flat was that it was not cleaned. the only clean things in there were the inside of the shower, the sink, the toilet, the sheets on the bed and the towels. inside of the microwave was uncleaned and mouldy. the dish towel was not clean, it had stains and smelled of fried food. the cabinets had a coat of food and gunk over the top of them. i am not a fussy clean person, but this was atrocious. we ended up buying cleaning products and deep cleaning everything we touched. the cupboards literally became a shade lighter after doing so. the most shocking thing here, which is a GENUINE health hazard and makes me absolutely shocked as to how this flat is even approved on this website, is that there was a HUGE issue with black mould and wood rot under the floorboards, directly in front of the shower. when you walked on the floor, it would squelch from all the water collecting under there and you would have black mould all over your feet. this waterlogged area is so bad, the bathroom door wouldn’t even close (the doorknob was also broken but that is beside the point). we used the boiler. the water did get hot, HOWEVER. after having the boiler on for more than two hours, we noticed the floor under it was completely waterlogged. we panicked and called the property manager as we didn’t want blame for a broken boiler. the lady was very kind and listened, and was very familiar with this issue, and it was almost expected that we would call about it, as she just said “we are aware of this and have ordered a part for it. just put towels down”. so we entirely relied on the thickly limescaled kettle for hot water when it came to doing dishes and had the boiler on for an hour for our showers. the thing is, this is very obviously an issue of neglect as on closer inspection of the boiler, the pipe is completely exposed and broken which is the only kind of damage that happens from months to years of neglect.
