Thistle Do Fort William

Great option for three of us, plenty of living space. A good standard of fitting sand finishes.

It’s a quiet location - suited us but maybe not for everyone.

Thistle Do is located in a forested area, populated by deer, well off the main road between Fort William and Spean Bridge. It is quiet. If you are out in the evening, you may see the deer come for their evening feed; we did, and for us it was a great novelty. The Spar supermarket in Spean Bridge is only a few minutes drive for supplies. The apartment is comprehensively well equipped, and we wanted for nothing in the kitchen, as we prepared all our evening meals at ‘home’. We had magnificent weather and had morning views over pine forest to the Nevis Range. The bedrooms are upstairs: a queen and a single, as well as a toilet and hand basin. The bathroom is downstairs. There’s a closet just inside the front door (in the little mud room/entrance hallway) for hanging jackets, which is very handy. Plenty of room in both bedrooms to open suitcases. Feather quilts (not polyester)

We didn’t plan to stay longer. :-( Note the bedrooms are upstairs, so be mindful that you’ll need to lug your suitcases up there.

Clean, well stocked kitchen, the extra touches such as games, tea, milk, decent curtains and blinds for a good nights sleep. The space. The deer. The location. The quietness. Decent WiFi.

Nothing. All perfect.

It is an absolutely lovely and comfortably place to stay. Everything was made with love and the hosts are very welcoming and supportive to accommodate our needs.
