Portree Garden Room

La struttura è super pulita e organizzata, con tutti i confort e attenzione al dettaglio (ci hanno fatto trovare snack e un brick di latte locale super buono). La posizione è ottima in quanto si è praticamente a pochi minuti dal centro di portree con stazione di benzina praticamente difronte. Comodo anche il parcheggio.

Great location for driving around Skye! The room was clean and check in was smooth!

This is a long overdue review of my stay in Portree from September! It was just perfect for me. Affordable for a singleton, perfect location for exploring Skye, a cosy, clean, well equipped space which I will be returning to again. For me, having the microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge were enough to cater for my needs, and with the incredible pizza from The Isle of Skye Candle company (I may have gone twice!!) and great cafes in Portree, I was very happy. I knew that Karen was on hand for anything questions or queries, and thank you for the tip on a walk which was a little quieter than all the tourist spots. I didn't have time to use the leisure facilities as was too busy exploring, but that was a really lovely touch. Thank you so much.

No meals and the property description makes it clear what facilities were available. There is a fridge and a microwave, no cooker as stated. One welcome perk is a card that enables guests to use the local leisure centre free of charge (about 5 mins walk). Nice pool, gym. Also near to the library and archive centre. About ten minutes walk to the town with shops and restaurants. The accommodation is small but of a high standard, with a comfortable king size bed. I recommend this property. The host is very approachable and helpful. There is parking. Everything modern and of good quality.

I can't fault the place. Perhaps small for staying a week, but very comfortable. If you have any questions, they will be answered promptly.

Der Bungalow liegt unscheinbar, recht versteckt und trotzdem zentrumsnah in Portree (wir haben ihn fast nicht gefunden). Es ist sehr ruhig, die Nächte somit erholsam. Eine Frühstücksversorgung wird nicht angeboten. Die Ausstattung ermöglicht jedoch eine eigene, einfache Frühstücksversorgung bzw. Abendbrot, sofern man das möchte oder keinen Platz in einem der Restaurants bekommt. Dazu kommt, das einer der zwei Co op (ein ziemlich großer) etwa 0,3mi bzw. 8min fußläufig entfernt ist. Alles ist sauber und macht einen schicken, modern designten Eindruck (top WLAN). Tipp: Kümmert Euch rechtzeitig um Restaurantplätze, Portree is busy. Mindestaufenthalt als Empfehlung 3- besser 4 Nächte für diese tolle Insel!

Einen Tag vor Abreise haben wir die Information bekommen, wie wir das Objekt zu verlassen haben und das wir beim verlassen auch die Betten abziehen sollen (?). Okay, war uns neu, kannten wir noch nicht. Haben das dann aber gemacht, war kein großer Umstand.

Keine Herdplatte zum Kochen vorhanden

Proper en goed gelegen huisje met parkeerplaats en voldoende faciliteiten. Vlakbij het centrum van Portree, zonder last van de vele toeristen die daar rond lopen, en dichtbij de COOP winkel voor eten/drinken. Alles was netjes en verzorgd, en de aanwezige faciliteiten werkten goed. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen op de Isle of Skye. Zeker de pizzaman van Pizza in the Skye bezoeken, heerlijke pizza voor weinig geld op 5 minuten wandelen van het huisje.

De afwezigheid van een kookplaat vonden we soms vervelend, maar staat duidelijk vermeld dus dat wisten we op voorhand. Toch zou het handig zijn een kleine keramische kookplaat te hebben om een pot pasta op te warmen bijvoorbeeld. Of een ei te bakken/koken. Er is wel een microgolfoven, maar dit is geen combi! Je kan dus ook geen ovengerechten uit de winkel klaarmaken, enkel microgolfgerechten. Ik vermoed dat dit alles te maken heeft met bepaalde regels voor verhuur, of misschien de elektriciteitsvoorziening. Gelukkig heeft de COOP best goede microgolfmaaltijden, en uiteraard is er voldoende eetgelegenheid in de buurt.
