The location, clean, bright and spacious. Great size and wonderful to have two bathrooms and lovely apple tree in the garden and great off street parking.

The beds were uncomfortable, I could feel the springs. The kitchen equipment was lacking e.g. no wooden spoon and other such cooking utensils so was impossible to cook a substantial meal (lots of great places to eat out though). The cutlery draw couldn’t be opened fully. One if the bins was really hard to open.

Good location, lovely hosts. A home away from home feel.

The property was amazing! it was so clean and very well kept. The location was beautiful and quiet. Exactly what we were searching for.

All around perfect!

The property is in a lovely quiet location, easy to find, and a convenient walking distance from the places we needed to visit and Waitrose for groceries. The bedrooms and sitting room are spacious with plenty of natural light (and good lighting in the evening too), and there is a peaceful grassy garden at the back, with a patio and fruit tree. The kitchen contained a nice big fridge-freezer, an efficient dishwasher, and plenty of pans and utensils. The house has toasty warm central heating, and we really liked the second bathroom downstairs with a new electric shower, which meant much less queuing in the mornings. The laundry room was well equipped and also provided a useful extra storage space. Everything was clean and tidy. We liked that there was a light that came on by the main entrance so we could see what we were doing when collecting the key!

Our niggles are minor and most of them would not be difficult to fix; the following suggestions are not 'complaints' as we enjoyed our stay and were satisfied it was good value. It might be worth noting in the original description that parking (or even turning) in this part of town isn't completely straightforward if guests have a second (or larger) vehicle, though we managed OK with a VW Golf. A few little things would make the house itself even better: some coat hooks in the hallway, a basic clothes rail with hangers (or chest of drawers) in each bedroom (there's lots of space), a towel rail in the downstairs shower room. We had not realised that one of the beds in the downstairs bedroom would be a zed bed; the other beds were all comfortable and we think the sofa would have been too.. The dining area could do with a couple of extra chairs and perhaps a slightly larger (or extendable) table, given that the property is advertised for up to 8 people. The photos of the dining room were accurate, so we weren't surprised or disappointed, and it worked fine for five of us for a couple of nights. Perhaps the slightly random plates and cereal bowls could be upgraded in due course?

The house was great! They had a tub, and very hot water. Perfect number of beds. They had milk and cereal for us in the kitchen. The towels were very soft, and the bedding was clean and comfy.

No AC, but they did have fans and we could open the windows. The stairs are VERY steep, so be aware of that. All the big beds were upstairs. The beds themselves were only functional. One was a cot, and my kid didn't mind, but it wouldn't be great for an adult. I wish there were more places to hang towels. There was only one hook in our room, and limited space in the bathrooms. With 7 people, it wasn't very functional.

Home comfort. Relaxing. Plenty of room. Clean. Parking.

The house was perfect. Large and comfortable with everything you need. Close to bus stops but also an easy walk into the city. Pub on the corner. Grocery store, Chinese and chip shop just down the road.

Space was a good size and very neat and tidy. All instructions were clear and the owners emailed to check how we were going!

I could get really picky and say that the double bed wasn't very comfortable and that there was no indication that one of the bedrooms was located downstairs. This only made it a challenge for us because we had 2 couples and a baby so it meant one of the parents had to sleep downstairs with the baby. And the additional bed was just a thin fold out bed.
