Amazing location, lovely cottage, would highly recommend

Being very picky, it was a bit cold downstairs but upstairs was nice and warm

Lovely cute little cottage. I found it clean, warm, quiet and a relaxing energy. The owners are very welcoming and friendly helping me settle in. Sweet little welcome message and biscuits when I arrived. They had put the outside light on and the heating for when I arrived as I arrived later. Met me and helped me in as it was dark. Gave me privacy but checked in on me with a message. Lovely stay and definitely return.

Thornes Cottage was cosy, warm and spotlessly clean. It was well equipped. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The host was delightful.

Thornes Cottage is in a dip so WiFi wasn't brilliant actually in the Cottage, it worked a treat at the Cottage gate.

Everything was as expected.

The cottage was excellent in a lovely setting. It was easy to find and is very pretty set in a former farm building which has been totally renovated and modernised. The cottage had absolutely everything you would need for a comfortable stay and there was bread and milk for us on arrival. It was possible to walk to the nearby village and there are numerous footpaths nearby. The whole area is very picturesque with views of the surrounding countryside but only about 10 minutes to the centre of Huddersfield. There is a regular local bus service at the end of the lane which runs between Wakefield and Huddersfield so it would be possible to use public transport. The owners have obviously put a lot if time and effort into the cottage and it couldn't be faulted.
