Lews Castle

Great location and modern, comfortable room.

All good.

It was a beautiful location with lovely walking paths in the gardens. Close to the town and local restaurants. We were greeted by a young man playing bagpipes! The museum was interesting as well.

It’s just stunning. Great location with lovely views over Stornoway and lots of nice walks around the castle grounds, and with easy access to local shops, attractions, amenities and ferries. Huge and well equipped apartment with an excellent bed, full kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, bathroom with underfloor heating, and a big lounge and dining area. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed and so peaceful and quiet at night. I guess it’s hard to go wrong when you’re staying in a beautiful castle but it’s actually even nicer than the Booking.com photos show.

Luxurious room, the clawfoot bath, the huge comfy bed. Staying in a castle! The food in the cafe with really friendly staff.

Room, location, fun staying in a castle. Good breakfast availability but had to pay. Very clean.

Bed was very hard, pillows were thin and hard. No Kleenex, no wash cloths, no water. Shower was hard to adjust and was too hot. Breakfast was not included.
