Apartment No 1 - The Old Red King Pub, Whitefield, Manchester

The flat is spacious and has everything you need, we had 4 adults and 4 children, and there was plenty of space there for us all. The hamper we had was lovely we didn't have to go to the shop at all during our stay because everything was supplied. The beds are comfortable. The flat is situated in a perfect location, there is a park nearby and there are plenty of restaurants around, and the streets are safe and quiet to walk with the kids. We had Chinese at resturant 8 about 10 minutes walk from the apartment and the biggest bonus was that the restaurant was right next to the tram. It was 25 minutes on the tram to get to palace theatre and only a 5 minute walk from the tram to the theatre. Trams run late, so you don't need to worry about getting back either. Thank you so much. The only downside was the sewage smell in the kitchen.The windows were all open (probably to try and get the smell out), so the flat was freezing when we arrived. But we closed all the windows and turned the heating up, and it warmed up in no time. We closed the kitchen door to try and keep the smell in there. I don't think the owner could do much about it to be honest, and it didn't affect our stay.

excellent location, good parking and easy access to property. good communication with property.

first impression was that the flat was freezing cold and obviously unclean on arrival. the master bed was broken on arrival, my husband spent the first 20 minutes of our arrival trying to fix the bed. eventually he managed it but it was a terrible first impression. also the bed linen did not fit the bed (pictured), the bottom sheet did not extend to the four corners of the bed but this was concealed with the duvet so not apparent until we got into bed. if this had been a hotel I would have complained immediately and demanded it be rectified. the shower was dirty so had to clean that before getting in. the floors were dirty and the lounge floor dusty. the flat was freezing cold on arrival, understandable considering the cost of living crisis to turn off the heating but the thermostat was not where it was described in the notes so spent ages round the house trying to find it so we could put our baby to sleep in a warm environment rather than sub-zero. also in the lounge the floor doorway was broken and the floor beneath the wood flooring and carpet was visible and sharp edges. Our baby nearly hurt herself on the floor so we were really disappointed this couldn’t have been fixed prior to our arrival. Breakfast was included in our stay, we got crumpets and cereal which we were more than happy with however only Oat milk was provided which doesn’t work for me as I have an intolerance so we had to go out and get milk which was actually really inconvenient on Christmas Day when everything local was shut. would have been lovely to have been able to have a cup of tea on arrival but as I said normal milk not included. other things included for breakfast was an opened packet of werthers original and a packet of crisps. a nice thought but I would have preferred some fruit for breakfast. never usually complain or write bad reviews but we genuinely were so looking forward to staying here for Christmas but it just didn’t work out well this time for us so we won’t be booking again.

lovely spacious apartment, lots of space, everything you need for a young family, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, very clean, the tapas restaurant across the road was excellent so you are 10 yards from a brilliant place to eat and drink too

Beautiful, very spacious , very clean , looks better in reality compared to photos , 5.5 miles from central manchester , very hood value for money and staff very obliging , was left a nice treat package a bonus , wouod stay again

Big open and clean rooms with plenty of space for an apartment and group. Easy and cheap enough to get in and out of Manchester City centre.
