Location was very walkable

Had to call 1st night re heat as there was a monitor that controlled it the radiators there was no info or instructions regarding this. Also need info In their (book) for non Europe visitors on how to use the washer/ dryer units please as we do not have these in the US

Super Ferienwohnung in einem historischen Gebäude in zentraler Lage (mehr zentral geht nicht). Dennoch in der Nacht ziemlich ruhig, da dies keine Kneipemeile war. Vom Flughafen haben wir ein Taxi genutzt (35 Pfund) und zurück etwas unkomfortabler mit dem Airlink Bus 100 (auch nur 10 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt, dafür mit 3 Personen 18 Pfund). Nicht weit entfernt sind auch die typischen Pup's, die man am Abend erkunden kann und noch ein Tip: fast genau an der Unterkunft - Street-Food "Fish and Frites - Anstruther - Royal Mile", man muss zwar etwas warten, aber der Fisch! frischer, besser und leckerer geht es für 16 Pfund nicht - und dazu noch ein Bier, was will man mehr. Da wir nur 3 Tage dort waren - eine Hop-On-Hop-Off Bustour in die Aussenbezirke und zum Hafen ( Royal Yacht Britannia) waren ganz gut. Also es waren sehr schöne 3 Tage im Herbst in Edinburgh. Danke noch mal an David, den Vermieter, es hat alles perfekt funktioniert.

Michelle (host) was very helpful at the site and host David’s communication from the booking date was exceptional. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. Best location in The Mile in Edinburgh.

Two flights of stairs. The Booking site should have mentioned this.

Loved the location. Right in the action. Historic and beautiful property very nicely decorated. Would definitely stay there again.

A couple of minor things. No shower barrier in the downstairs bathroom. Great to have a washing machine but hard to dry the laundry as the radiators and towel racks were off most of the time.

Es lohnt sich, sich näher mit dem Riddles Court zu befassen, die 400-jährige Geschichte ist beeindruckend. Das Gebäude selber besteht aus dem Haupthaus, direkt an der Royal Mile (und nur etwa 180m vom Castle entfernt gelegen), einem Innenhof, über den man auch Zugang zum Haupthaus erlangt, und in dem wir unsere Fahrräder gut und sicher abstellen konnten, sowie einem weiteren Komplex mit Innenhof, dessen wechselnde Geschichte vom Scottish Historic Buildings Trust (SHBT, der dort auch resisdiert) auf deren Website beschrieben wird. Man ist mitten im Leben - das mag vielleicht nicht jeder, zumal der August mit Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo und dem Kulturfest Fringe sehr lebendig ist. Die Wohnung selber ist geräumig und liebevoll ausgestattet, David Hume hat dort einen Bereich, in dem er seine Familiengeschichte dargestellt hat. Er selber ist in der Wohnung groß geworden. Sehr persönlich und sehr schön, Danke, David!

Nicht - es war - wie gesagt - ein tolles Erlebnis, dort zu sein.

Greatest location right in the heart of the old town. Excellent for enjoying the Edinburgh Festival. Friendly hosts who were helpful and responsive.

The location could not be better. It was immaculate and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and loved the all the extra touches with decor. The kitchen was fully stocked too and enjoyed the Nespresso pods. The history of the family was such a neat addition as well.

The bedroom that has a balcony could use room darkening shades. A neighbor has a bright porch light that lit up our room.
