2 Lower Kessock Street

Lots of space and great facilities (washer/dryer, oven, microwave, dining table, couches, two bedrooms etc), close to the city, friendly neighbourhood. A great find, would be fantastic with a few simple improvements (see below). Prepackaged meals from M&S enabled us to cook and home, eat deliciously and save lots.

Attention to some details: living room needed a rug and a coffee table and removal of the light that didn't work, bathroom needed a shelf or bench to put toiletry bags on and a rail for the hand towel near the basin, beds were of a basic standard and needed 'mattress toppers' and the linen didn't fit the beds properly, also a wool blanket would have been welcomed as the doonas were too hot, bags racks for the cases would have been appreciated as well as a fan, key to back door was too stiff to turn but hosts responded quickly and a new one was delivered

Good location, not far from downtown. Would stay there again.

Lovely little apartment within walking distance of town centre.

The place was clean. Most facilities were ok.

Unfortunately there were road works. Quite noisy in the morning, but nobody's fault. Work had to be done. The washing machine couldn't wash. For people who like cooking, more cooking pots would be nice.

All the required amenities including utensils are present there. Glossaries are also nearby; we cooked food at home without any problems. All over, it was a great experience.

Internet WiFi connection speed is little bit slow.

I liked the bed and the double bedroom as the bedroom was at the back of the property and reasonably quiet; the bed was comfortable. I liked walking to the Merkinch Nature Reserve and having coffee at the Jammy Piece. I also liked having coffee and lunch at Girvans in the city centre. There are good free public loos in a lovely little arcade on the way to the city centre.

On the afternoon I arrived there was a gas leak in the street just outside the flat and it was still being repaired when I left a week later. I didn't like the flimsy front and back doors with no energy ratings, letting all the warmth out and all the cold and noise from the street into the flat; I didn't feel secure. The two outside doors had simple locks and no security chains in what's quite a rough area. Yet, the double bedroom door has a good Yale lock! The outside seating area is unattractive and is a tight squeeze around the double bedroom extension. The ceiling in the passageway to the bedrooms is very low and if you're tall you have to watch your head! I didn't like the minimalist, spartan look, it was too stark; there's no coffee table to put food and drink on when you sit at the sofa. There is nowhere to hang your coats when you come in the front door.

The clear instructions from the host, good location, free parking and clean place.

The listing says it has 2 baths but it has just 1.

Property size was good, well heated, good bathroom facilities. Kitchen was good but a little light in the pots and pans department. Impressed with all the finishes and little touches around the house.

Location is a major drawback sadly, parking was very hit and miss and neighbourhod was dodgy. Kitchenwares could do with being padded out, more frying pans, wooden spoon and oven gloves.
