The Bolt Hole - Looe.

This very big one level cottage was just beautiful. Comfy sofa and bed, walk in shower. Heated floors. Amenities were great. Lovely cream teas for us and a doughnut for my daughter was a beautiful touch. Greg was super friendly and helpful with tips for the local area. Great fish & Chips restaurant/takeaway literally 7minute walk away. Easy distance from Looe, Polperro, with bus options too. Lovely quiet spot. We took our 2 St Bernard's and the space inside was roomy enough for none of us to be tripping over eachother.

Listing the property as having a kitchen is a bit misleading. There is a cupboard/ fridge unit in the bed/ sitting room containing cutlery, crockery and glass ware. There is a kettle, a toaster and a microwave. Washing up can be carried out in the toilet hand basin. The listing states that pets are welcome and an additional charge may be applicable. We were charged £10 per night for a small non-moulting dog which caused no damage and left no mess. It's worth mentioning that despite the Looe address, the property is 1.8 miles from Looe.

There's nothing not to like at the Bolt Hole. So much so that we've already booked to stay there again. Hosts couldn't be nicer. Perfect location for us. The accommodation is spacious, clean and comfortable.

Loved our stay in the Bolt Hole which was also dog friendly. Just outside Looe but within walking distance of Millendreath and the famous Cody Shack fish and chip shop. The Bolt Hole itself was very warm and spacious and cosy secure patio area.

Plenty of parking. Easy access. Spacious, open plan living. Comfy sofa and bed. Good sized garden. Fantastic hosts. 4 minute drive from Looe and 37 minutes from the Eden Project. Allows dogs. Apart from the main road, which didn’t bother us, it was very quiet. We didn’t even know our hosts had a dog until we saw him out their garden!

This isn’t a critique, it’s a suggestion, which the hosts have the right to consider or ignore. But as a disabled person I really struggled with the shower. It could do with a smaller retractable head, as well as the large head for non-disabled users, & possibly a small foldable chair attached to the wall. I have a tracheostomy which I can’t get wet, so I have to flip my hair over my face & bend at 90 degrees to wash my hair, I also have muscle weakness x2. The floor became so slippy from the shampoo, conditioner & shower gel that I felt very off-balance & unsafe, especially when I had to keep navigating around the glass to the on/off & temperature dials. I also had to walk around the perimeter of the shower to avoid the big head in the middle of the shower ceiling catching my tracheostomy. I do appreciate that this is very specific to my needs though.

Location was excellent, easy access and great parking , spacious and comfortable. Hosts were lovely and made you welcome .

Would have benefited from a sink to wash up, although there was a bowl .

Excellent location, safe parking, very comfortable & had everything we needed, Had a lovely few days at the bolt hole, wish we booked longer, everything very clean, nice walks & Cody shack within walking distance.
