Shepherd's Lodge - Shepherd's Hut with Devon Views for up to Two People and One Smaller Dog

2nd visit now. It’s quaint with all you need with the added extra of incredible unspoilt views

The location was what we wanted. Quiet and tranquil. Fantastic views. The owners put so much effort into making the shepherd's lodge such a fab place to stay. All home comforts were in place, and the food hamper supplied was an added and appreciated bonus.

The views were absolutely stunning. The location could not of been any better. Also the welcome we received by Roy was very friendly, and he made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived at the hut. The hut itself was just perfect for two people, and we didn't have much with us so it wasn't too cramped.

On a whole we had a very pleasant experience, and we would definitely come and stay again as it was a brilliant five days there. One small problem I found but nothing big was that there was no cold water in the bathroom sink and in the shower too. On one of the days it was very hot and I wanted to have a cold shower but I couldn't because the water just stayed very hot. Ultimately it's not a biggy, but it would of been helpful on that day

It was lovely, good place to relax and unwind. If you like walking, the owner has left some routes to the local pubs.

The Shepherd's Hut was gorgeous, well presented and clean. They exceeded our expectations providing our own shower and toilet, towels, all of the kitchen equipment we'd need, including ingredients for breakfast (cereal and a cooked breakfast), plus a bowl and biscuits for our dog! It was a lovely location with views over rural rolling hills of Devon and very close to Dartmoor.

It's was all lovely. The only thing that we'd suggest is an obvious reception (check in and check out point) as we didn't know what to do with our keys at the end of our stay but we loved our visit in the hut!

Everything. The location was amazing, peaceful and so beautiful. Very clean and tidy. The welcome package was lovely. The owners were very lovely. We absolutely loved the whole experience.
