Saffron Court by Wycombe Apartments - Apt 06

The flat itself is in a good location and had good heating.

When I initially booked this property it was because I had carried out a search for two rooms for two adults for myself and a relative. This property came back in the results therefore I booked it. I placed the booking three weeks prior to staying. Immediately after making the booking I found it odd there was only one photo of a bedroom and realised the host was classing the second room as the sitting room which has a sofa/sofa bed. I contacted the host to explain what had happened but he refused to provide a refund and put the responsibility onto booking.com for how the property comes up on the website. Booking.com would have waved their fee if the host had of agreed the refund which he would not. Therefore we had to continue with the booking. The host advised prior to our stay that there was no damage to the flat to his knowledge. However there are lots of dirty marks/scuff marks on the walls throughout the flat. Booking.com only allows four photos to be uploaded but I have several other photos of the marks on the walls. The extractor fan in the bathroom does not work. The mixer tap in the kitchen is very loose to the point where it could cause issues if its not fixed. The fridge had a horrible dirty smell as if there had been no air circulation in it within weeks. The shower tray plinth is damaged. There is a hole in the wall behind the bedroom door. The flat is on the ground floor of the building. Immediately upon entering the main communal door to the block the door for the flat is on the right and leads straight into the sitting room. Whenever other people from other flats were leaving the building the front door was left to slam shut. This happened upto 2330 and from 0630. Anyone sleeping on the sofabed hears all this noise. The flat above I dont know if this is also a short term let on one night there was banging and loud noises again till 2330.

The apartment was spacious, very good shower, kitchen facilities really useful, good location and the onsite free parking was a bonus. The main bed was comfortable. There were enough large towels which were of good quality. There is a washing machine and a dishwasher, although we did not need to use them in this occasion. We had to contact the host with a couple of queries and he responded promptly even though it was a Sunday.

The WiFi didn't work for us so we could not work during the stay in the apartment. The floors in the apartment were quite dirty (made your feet black) which was strange as the rest of the apartment and surfaces were spotless. You could hear the people staying in the apartment above until quite late at night, which kept us awake.
