Self catering upper floor flat at Woodend house

Lovely, obliging hosts. The convenient location was enough away from attractions to quiet and relaxing but close enough to drive on to isle of Skye.

We would have liked a small washing machine for our clothes but we were aware that it was not provided.

Lovely accommodation. Clean, comfortable and every need considered. We wanted to explore Skye and some of the mainland close by. This was the perfect location. Excellent instructions from Gillian prior to our arrival also which made it easy to find and access the flat. Excellent, professional service with a personal, homely touch.

Absolutely nothing. Would love to go back to the area and would book again without looking elsewhere.

Well-appointed and comfortable upper floor flat tucked away in a lovely location just a minute’s drive from the main road. It’s ideally located for accessing both Glen Shiel and Skye.

The location

Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay as at the last minute we decided to take our 12 year old cousin with us and the property advised (when I asked if I could pay extra for her to stay) that they do not allow anyone under 16 to stay. We understood it was a two person booking and their policy says no children but we thought for one night there may have been an exception given as the property was already fully paid for. So I had to book elsewhere and paid for a nights accomodation we couldn’t use :-(

Gillian is a wonderful host who couldn't be more helpful. The apartment itself is very well maintained and has everything you would want. We really appreciated the fruit bowl and the breakfast supplies that were there when we arrived. It is a good base if you are travelling to the Isle of Skye, or are just exploring that part of Scotland. Parking is easy and there is a supermarket not far away if you want to stock up and do your own thing.

The apartment is large and comfortable and thoughtfully furnished, with many little extras. It is located in a peaceful and charming little hamlet close to walking trails. There were supplies to make a good breakfast, including a variety of fresh fruit, and eggs .

It would be difficult to reach this location by public transportation. We came as part of a tour group. It is possible to walk to a market, or to a restaurant for dinner, less than a mile away.

Apartment was excellent. Had everything we needed and more. Would definitely stay again if in area.

There was nothing we didn't like.
