"A relaxing stay at a charming place."

Great location, great view, very nice clean house. The welcome pack was a very nice surprise.

There's a pub very close by that was noisy late one night.

"Lovely apartment in Lyme Regis"

8.0

Perfect location (but do be wary of the steep hill up and down!). Very clean and spacious. Lovely welcome pack. Lots of helpful information left in the guest folder. Lovely little garden with a pretty view. Able to use television services, such as Netflix and YouTube.

The pub is quite noisy. We stayed on a Bank Holiday weekend and there was a band playing - it did feel like they were singing in the bedroom with us at times 🤣 To be fair, they did stop at 11 sharp and after that it was pretty quiet.

"I loved the area but was disappointed at the lack of detail and attention given to the property"

6.0

The views were beautiful. Great location and lovely welcome gift

The boiler was broken on arrival so no hot water or heating, two cupboard in the kitchen were broken. Huge chunks of paint missing on the walls in the bedroom, washing machine didn’t work and neither did the clock

"Lovely flat near to the sea"

9.0

Lovely ground floor flat with everything we needed for our stay. The welcome package was one of the best I have received and all local goods. The weather was lovely for September so able to make use of the terrace in the morning, looking out to see the golden shimmer of Golden Cap and the sea. Very close to the centre of town/seafront and virtually next door to the Nags Head. From outside the front it's a meander down the hill to the seafront. There is a co-op and Tesco express down the hill but plenty of lovely places to eat and relax. Yes we would go back!

Downside is mostly definitely parking. Limited 2 hour free parking across the road by the church but this is mostly in use. We used the recommended Woodmead car park around the corner - a 7 day permit it's £80, so factor parking into your costs. Some of the holiday let companies do give you a permit by the looks of other parked cars in the car park but ours (Syke's holiday cottages) did not.

"Initial impressions were good; but experience of the stay was disappointing and I wouldn’t rebook."

5.0

This is a tastefully presented unit with modern furniture and conveniences, it was immaculate and cleaned to a very good standard. Great shower and plenty of hot water. There was a welcome pack on arrival. There are useful local guide books that were handy. Pleasant place to sit in the lounge and on the terrace. Everything was there that could be needed for a longer term stay. Used a parking app “ just park” so I didn’t have to walk too far with bags. The unit was really easy to find and get into.

Noise: I could hear the upstairs guests walking on creaky floors. The bedroom seemed located beneath the kitchen of the upstairs unit and people were moving around making noise just by occupying it; they were not partying or disrespectful - the unit just has no sound insulation and this became irritating after a while. Waste and recycling point: Other guests appeared to depart in the early hours of the next day of my stay and used the glass recycling bin, which is located in the outside passageway adjacent to the bedroom of this unit, this was highly significant as the clattering and glass smashing woke me suddenly and unexpectedly, this wasn’t good considering it took me so long to get to sleep in the first place. Safety: The CO2 alarm was bleeping on my arrival, I tried to call the letting agents for help but couldn’t get through to any one or contact staff for support using the numbers provided -* this isn’t acceptable as it is was a safety Device and could have been significant. It appeared that the CO2 monitor had been tampered with in the past it as wasn’t a secure fit to the wall, in the least the batteries were flat; no spares or instructions were provided. Views: hedges were overgrown and obscured the view of the bay I expected from the photos.
