The Funky Apartment

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at The Funky Apartment. I have stayed in many rentals over the years and have never felt the need to complain, but this was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had. I would like to highlight several major issues regarding the transparency, privacy, and hospitality of this stay: Hidden Costs: After already paying €353 for the booking, we were hit with a €50 fee to use the hot tub. The listing explicitly states the apartment "includes a hot tub/jacuzzi," yet we were charged extra upon arrival. Undisclosed Deposit: We were blindsided by a €200 security deposit request. After traveling for four hours to Belfast, we were left stranded for an hour waiting for family members to transfer us funds, which was incredibly distressing , we got no answer from our family members we then payed in cash , we didn’t get our deposit back in cash a deposit is supposed to be held not spent so why couldn’t they give it back in cash , when we left I tried to ring the owner no answer rang on a different number and answered I have sent my credit details to get the deposit back and the Owner hasn’t even looked at my messages , this overall trip has cost us 603 euro for just 2 nights !!!!nothing was damaged and we still can’t get our deposit back this is so unfair !!!! Invasion of Privacy: While using the hot tub, we discovered a camera pointed directly down at us. This felt like a gross invasion of privacy and made us extremely uncomfortable for the remainder of the trip. Host Harassment: The owner shouted down at us from above while we were in the hot tub. We felt watched 24/7, to the point where we were afraid to even turn up the volume on the TV for fear of "getting in trouble." False Accusations: On our final night, the owner accused us of breaking the electrics in the jacuzzi.

Me & my partner stayed here over the weekend for her birthday & all I can say is it was the best weekend we’ve spent together, host was amazing & helpful, insuring we were okay & it was the perfect location & atmosphere for our get away, was spotless & the decor was class. Definitely going back asap
