Smartrips Apartments - The Hub

The condition of the apartment is in very bad state. Needs a total revamp and in some cases for safety, things need to be fixed (bedroom window that is heavily cracked on the 7th floor is daunting and the internal coating of the microwave is cracked and missing) Heating controller doesn’t work, cooker knobs missing or fall off, scorch marks on carpets, bad limescale shower fittings, door handles pulled away from doors, doors delaminating, dust clumps in light shades, sticky grease marks around cooker hob, yellow stained and lumpy pillows, access lifts that don't always work, cracked walls above skirtings, pencil writing on door frames and a general horrible odour throughout the building and apartment. If I were staying here for pleasure then I would have left the first night, as it was for work, we gave the place a clean the first night and beared with it the remainder.

Great location

The property looks like it needs a handy man to spend a few days to fix Locks on doors, paint walls, redo the silicon in the bathroom. Fill holes in walls. Being harassed about paying a £150 refundable despoit

The heating didn't work, the apartment was not clean, the owners were not helpful ,and promised a refund which hasn't been followed up I expect a full refund . I can show you pictures of which I sent the owner of how in our opinion is not of the standard advertised LUXURY. It ruined our annual sister Christmas get together of which we look forward to each December.

Location good

Apartment tired, needs some work. Toilet seat broken (still as noticed in previous review) TV remote missing.

The location was good… nothing else!

The whole visit to the property was marred by not being able to open the car parking area in the first place and therefore not being able to get into the property. It took many telephone calls to the contact to arrange for another fob to get in. The place when we did get in (a few hours after we arrived) was in a poor condition. Mainly because there was a large settee which had been left in the apartment (this was awaiting disposal) because of the position of the settee it was very difficult to gain access to the living room area, it was also dangerous because it has been left on its side and could easily topple over. There were several light bulbs not working and the fan was in a dangerous condition. The dining chairs were In a very poor condition. The whole place was in need of refurbishment. We tried to book ourselves into a hotel for the night but there was nothing available so we had to stay in the apartment in the condition as described above we left the next morning and so did not stay there Two nights. The contact said he would refund all the money and he has done so.
