The Annex @ 3 East Town Cottages

The hosts though of everything in terms of the property fit-out. The views of wildlife just outside the windows made our day.

The property was small but perfectly formed to create a functioning household — it had every little amenity you could possibly need — and was beautifully situated in a peaceful countryside setting. There was ample hot water and it was comfortably heated for our stay mid-October visit. The hosts were very helpful and responded immediately to any queries. We enjoyed our stay:) *Also, The Longs in nearby Steeple Ashton is highly recommended.

As we are tall people, the sloping roof areas took a bit of getting used to;) The sink in the bathroom is quite twee, so one had to take care not to splash the water onto the floor… but these were minor issues.

Very clean and well appointed, although a compact apartment had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Lovely view over fields from upstairs where we saw around 9 pheasants, owner was great and invited us to pick a few apples. Jill gave excellent email instructions on the property.

Really enjoyed the property but being 6’2” very conscious of angled ceiling in bedroom and bathroom 😂

Perfect little house. We were surprised by the attention to detail. Lovely comfortable bed. We went to Longleat and the next day we went to Bath. The house was the perfect location for both places.

The only niggle is the bed has an end board, being 6ft 3 I prefer an open ended bed

Glorious view from the front.

Misleading photograph - can only see it this way from owners garden. The accommodation is only part of this building which continues as the owners garage and had several vehicles parked adjacent to it. There is no sitting room. A sofa bed in the bedroom acts as seating for viewing TV. It is nicely decorated and ingeniously fitted out but remains cramped with low headroom in areas,small folding dining chairs and the toilet located immediately off the kitchen (which is the entrance). Diesel-like smell when opening windows trying to deal with the heat-wave.
