Lorna & Noel , (Noel and Lorna) are amazing hosts and very welcoming even when we arrived late ..amazing and magical experience of the stillness and tranquillity of their home in a self contained abode in grounds of the family home . we would love to return there again one day soon.... thank you for the home made apple cake made with home grown apples what a nice touch. !.. we loved every minute .. nesting swallows what a rare event to see for us.

expect a long drive ...if traveling from manchester... and watch out for the single track road .. had to read a map as very remote.

Amazing hosts who were always on-hand to help out and the homemade cake on arrival was delicious! Very peaceful location; perfect for us to attend a wedding at the Leez Priory.

There was nothing not to like. The apartment was fully equipped with everything you would need for a short stay.

Noel and Lorna, perfect hosts in a self contained apartment with lovely views. Didn't know this part of the world. It is a beautiful village and Oakrights the perfect place to stay. Lovely walks around the village; country pub, tea room, greenery.

Stunning location, wonderful hosts

Lovely hosts. Idyllic location. The property was clean, tidy and well equipped. The hosts were very informative when we arrived and gave us places to where would be good to visit. We had red velvet cake on arrival which was delicious and such a treat!! There was a gorgeous coffee shop and pub walking distance away and the food and drinks were really good. So lovely, would definitely return in the future!

Lovely well appointed quiet large room above a car port & nesting swallows with rural views and peace. Hosts delightful and attentive to any needs. Parking no problem. Suitable for single or couple occupancy. Peaceful and restorative.

Host wifi good but no mobile (EE) reception in the village as a whole (so not the hosts' fault) gave a problem trying to pay for a Dartford Crossing. The double bed tucks in so snugly under the eaves that one person would have to climb over the other. Access is via a fire-escape type metal staircase with holes through the metal grating steps. I found this rather scary to use & it also meant carrying everything including food boxes up said stairs. So not for those who are not nimble .
