everything ended up booking a hotel .the 2 hours i stayed here was suffocating .place was smelling of fresh paint which is hazardous to health if inhaled fo long in a place which cant even open the windows to let fresh air in,Host is very bad did not notify us of current state of the apartment and refused to refund us just half of the payment we made .

Emailed instructions on how to check in to the apartment on the day of arrival, which was easy. The location is central.

The apartment was dirty, with stains on the walls and mould around the windows and in the grout. I felt I had to check the mattress for bed bugs, which luckily there weren't any, but there was mould on the bottom of the mattress. I felt very uncomfortable staying in such a dirty place. The pillows were so thin, they were effectively a sheet. There is a motion sensor main light in the bedroom, which comes on if you get up to go to the bathroom, or if you roll over in the night. So several times in the night we were woken up by the main light turning on and staying on for 5 minutes. There was no way to deactivate this light. The location is next to the fire station, and they seemed to have practice siren tests about 5am, which is also disruptive. The door had had a break in attempt, as you could see the damage of a crow bar or similar to the lock, which made it feel unsafe. We were told the check out time was 11am, but we had the cleaners trying to come in at 10.30am, before we were ready to leave. Other guests were also noisy, banging doors and talking on the stair well at 4am. We were asked to clean any used crockery before leaving, but no washing up liquid was supplied for the glass we used. The price is cheap compared to other places to stay in Leicester, but I think you get less than you pay for. I would not recommend these apartments.

Cost of room was £55, which was fine but found out a few days before our stay that we needed to leave a deposit of £100 before being given entry code for appartment, we were assured we'd have it returned the day we checked out. We checked out on 16th July, it's now 4th Aug and no money has been returned. No response from the owner. Contacted Booking.com Customer Services and gave them bank statement evidence of £100 being paid as requested, but heard nothing from them since. Appalled by this experience. Always been very happy with Booking.com but now on the verge of cancelling all of our future reservations through them.
