Location was very good

The dirty oven shelves, oven door, and baking trays. The freezer has not been defrosted for a while, so it was difficult to open compartment doors.

Great location close enough to the centre but still lovely and quiet. Super clean and very stylish. The property has everything you could need for your stay.

The shower temperature was inconsistent and went from one extreme to the other, but this was a minor problem overall and no doubt the host would have been happy to advise had we contacted him.

Apartment was clean and comfortable. In a good area to access both bays. Close to the castle. Parking was great allowing parking to both apartments.. Met the owner they were pleasant and welcoming. Would stay again.

The host was polite, responsive and clear with communication. The WiFi / Internet connection was excellent, a strong signal and fast speed. The location of the property is good, very close to the castle and beaches. The TV was nice, with smart TV functionality. The mattress on the bed was comfortable and there is plenty of storage for clothes. The property was easy to find, and parking was easy. It's quite a short walk to the main tourist areas of Scarborough.

There was a lot of noise from the apartment above. We heard lots of feet stomping around and voices through the ceiling. The flat was very cold, it seemed the living room window was single glazed and you could feel the air coming through. The heating seemed to be turned off when we arrived, so it took quite some time to warm up. We were concerned about security when a guest from the apartment above walked into our apartment without permission. The adjoining door was apparently unlocked. The host told me that there should have been a maglock, which it seems did not function. We generally found the apartment to be poorly stocked when comparing to other places we've stayed at. There were no basics like salt, pepper, only two teabags, no tea towel or dishwasher which made drying dishes interesting. It's the little extras that some places provide that make the difference, such as books, games and basic provisions. The kitchen tap was loose, and one of the lamps did not work. The kitchen utensils did not seem clean, and we washed everything before using it. There was no storage space in the bathroom apart from a tiny shelf that already had things on it, and nowhere to hang a towel. It looked like there had maybe been a hook on the door that had been ripped off as the paint was a different colour in one patch. The "welcome pack" mostly consisted of lists of what not to do and consequences of breaking the rules, and we thought it was odd that it was requested to strip the bedding and empty bins as paying guests to the property.

Ideal location , homely , would definitely stay again

The destination was self catering, so I cannot comment on breakfast however there was everything you could need to have a more than comfortable stay.

The wet room did run out of the door when in there for slightly longer, ie I have long hair which takes a longer time to wash in shower and needed towels outside the door to soak up the distinctive leakage. That would be my only complaint, aside from that everything was absolutely perfect.

Ideally situated, clean, had everything you need. Overall we had a fantastic holiday.

No dishwasher or tv in bedroom, I think this just applies to the main house above. Lots of noise from people upstairs who threw a party on first night and were jumping up and down on wooden floor.

Shower it was too hot you didn't have instructions how to use it could have scalded your self poor drainage had to wade through water to gt in property garden n courtyard could do with a tidy up

It was bigger than we thought, plenty of room, the kitchen was well equipped. It's a nice apartment but it could be better, it needs a bit of TLC to make it more inviting.

Feather pillows not comfortable. Back of wardrobe coming off. No drawers, could do with bedside drawers instead of tables. No Freeview so couldn't watch normal programmes. Freezer needs defrosting. Key Safe cover broken, it was a nuisance. Kitchen mixer tap needs tightening up, could do with a washing up bowl, no cleaning spray and cloths. Shower temperature hard to set, too hot or too cold. Table and chairs outside need cleaning, bird poo on them, windowsill paint peeling off, weeds in garden, steps could do with sweeping, it's not very inviting. Didn't like having to strip the bed before we left, the mattress protector was scruffy could do with a new one.
