"Quirky property in a great location, but disappointed with the lack of cleanliness."

5.0

Unique property in a good location just on the outskirts of the city centre and within a short walking distance of the major sites.

I appreciate that the property is very old and it comes with its quirks, however I was really disappointed by its cleanliness. I don't mind spiders but there were lots of cobwebs, particularly on the ceiling chandeliers (the living room one also looked broken). There was a strange musty smell in the bedroom area, again I appreciate that the property is old, but it wasn't welcoming at all. The shower cubicle tiling/grout could do with a good clean too. The oil diffuser in the bathroom had run out and just dry sticks were left. The toiletries or lack of them was disappointing too. A used Waitrose shower gel in the shower cubicle. These little touches don't have to be expensive. There was a lack of instant coffee sachets (only 2) and sugar sachets in the kitchen. The tea towel didn't appear that clean, some nice fabric softener wouldn't have gone a miss. I didn't cook there, but I didn't really want to either as it just lacked cleanliness. It's such a shame, as the property is quirky and there's so much potential, but it's just lacking the basics and some much needed TLC.

"A little gem in the heart of Bath."

Fabulous grade 2 listed cottage for 2 people. Very near centre of Bath and all it has to offer. The cottage is cosy and very well equipped. Good WiFi, clean and comfortable.

Nothing. It was perfect.

"Comfort and privacy, a home away from home. Would recommend."

9.0

The location is excellent. It is next door the Hedgemead gardens, a short stroll through these and across Cleveland Bridge and you are in Bathwick, a 5 minute walk the otherway and you are in the Circus or down in to town. Very handy.

To those who do not like being on a main road this may be too noisy. Late night revellers were very noisy and the cigarette smoke came right into the apartment. The bedroom is tucked away behind a false wall though, which provides good protection until the first buses start running.

"We enjoyed our stay and very convenient for everything and will maybe stay again"

location was good, not sure what you mean about the breakfast. Upstairs was quite cosy, generally warm

The radiator in the bathroom needs bleeding I think as it was cold all the time, cups weren't cleaned properly
