The John Muir - Beautiful 1 bed apartment in Helensburgh

Simple and comfortable. Easy base for public transport. Airy, clean and quiet. Lovely views from lounge to surrounding countryside, sea and sun sets.

Nothing bad, an airer to dry wet clothes would help and info about recycling.

Just perfect. The location in town is perfect. The apartment is cozy and spacious. We felt at home.

The location near to town was great. The kitchen pots and pans exceeded expectations and meant we could eat in more than we thought.

Just a suggestion. The stairwell is gloomy before the light goes on and so we couldn't see that there were 2 locks that needed opening. The notes could usefully explain this. Also useful to have a number on the flat door.

Location, comfortable rooms

Poorly equipped kitchen. Lack of usable pots and pans (some too dirty to use and the only saucepan had been badly burnt by previous guest) Lack of hanging close for clothes; children’s hangers not suitable for adult clothes. 3rd floor location not mentioned in flat details making it very difficult for people of our age (75+) to access.

Central location

Outstanding property repairs need attending to ie new door locks(old ones becoming unsecure, and seizing up), vent axia in bathroom not working, leaking radiator in living room needs fixing, oven gloves badly needed in kitchen and extra saucepans, annoying squeeking, hamster noise coming from gas meter above door when boiler in use disturbing sleep.

Great location and an ideal place to stay. property was clean and had everything you needed.

The shower ceiling height was a little low for my 6ft 2 partner. Fine for me at 5ft 2!

Comfortable in the town centre, very spacious throughout, the kitchen has everything you need.

The bedroom is very spacious but has no wardrobe or coat hangers. There is a tiny rail in an alcove but no hangers.

Fun to stay in an apartment much like I would have had years ago in my late twenties. Updated with a TV that I could cast my excercise video on. I also appreciated the yoga mat provided by our host.

We would have appreciated better quality overall (materials, installation) and general modernisation.
