Breakfast was adequate. The location is convenient within a good if slightly challenging walk from the ferry terminal. There are bus stops outside the property.

Stairs are quite steep but a feature of buildings of this age. I gradually got used to them

Perfectly nice apartment, good shower, good location, tea, coffee, some breakfast stuff supplied. No trouble getting in and Christine was very accommodating about letting us in early. The heaters worked in both rooms, which we only needed because it was unusually cold, it wasn't the apartment's fault. Very close to bus stop, shops, pubs, etc.

Didn't have quite everything that was advertised, like a coffee machine (or wine and champagne, cookies, chocolate, toiletries, etc). Which was fine - we didn't really expect champagne!... just would have been better not to suggest them. Would have been great if it had twin beds instead of a double, the sofa bed looked a bit basic. Probably best for couples.

Myself and my other half stayed here at the end of April 2026 with our old dachshund Alan. We were very warmly welcomed by our host Christina who greeted us with our keys and showed us up to our room. I was a little apprehensive as there was a review posted the same day as our arrival day which wasn’t very positive. However, we really had nothing to be worried about. For a start, what a lovely homely property! The room was beautiful and very well put together, we had the room with the sofa bed which I have to say was actually VERY comfortable, perfect for the lay ins that we were hoping for! The rooms were spacious and just enough for the 3 of us for a long weekend. I saw a review mentioning that the tv didn’t work and was a little curious about this as we’re not really into stying out late- we like to stay in with a film on. The tv worked fine for normal channels, the internet didn’t connect for Netflix etc but we just connected it to our phones anyway and that worked just as well. We cooked in the room one evening using the oven and had all the utilities we needed for this, very well thought out. It was great to have on site parking and Christina was very accommodating with this too, often jumping in her car and parking road side to make sure we had plenty of space on the drive way. We had a lovely stay and overall I have to say the host made our stay. Christina is clearly a very caring and thoughtful lady who takes pride in her small business and it really shows. We had a few lengthy chats with her about what to do in the Isle of Wight, experiences she’s had and how much she enjoys interior design (which is very evident in the rooms!). We even got a tour of the other room she has which was also lovely. I would 100% recommend to others and wouldn’t hesitate to return!!

The host was very friendly and accommodating to me and my partner. The location of the property was fantastic for travelling around the island.
