Castle-view apartments, flat two

The flat was spotless,and the location was excellent

Been woken up early by the seagulls, but that couldn't be helped and it wouldn't stop us renting the flat again

The location of the property is ideal and has been decorated recently. It has a full kitchen with everything you need. The beds all had full feather quilts on them and we couldn't find any smaller sheets or blankets to swap over to. The bathroom door needs a lock on it. not a negative just a pointer for the owner.

The seagull noise is quite bad no double-glazing in most of the rooms

Friendly host who showed us to the flat. Excellent location. Flat was very clean and tidy. Beds were made up prior to arrival. Kitchen fully stocked with cups, plates, kitchen roll etc. Washing machine there if needed. Beds really comfortable and rooms very spacious.

The Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but wasn’t really a problem for us. The front bedroom was very noisy during the night. The weather was cold and very windy when we stayed and the window let in a draft. Could also clearly hear cars driving past all night and the birds tweeting from 4am. The back bedroom with the 2 single beds was warmer and quiet.

Close to the beach and shops. Excellent location.

There was a terrible smell in the flat when we arrived. It took ages to locate (gunk at the back of the fridge). The owner obviously knew about the smell. Kitchen facilities were poor. Freezer compartment was solidly iced and we had to defrost. Horrendous noise from street cleaner at 5.30am each morning and shenanigans in the alley outside at night. We damaged a bedside table during our stay we expected to pay for it but the owner kept ringing threatening to call the police and adding extra costs. Booking.com managed the situation excellently. Definitely will not return. Scarborough is wonderful though.

Close to the sea beach and everything arround.

Door lock was faulty . it gave us hard time but they were fixing it as we were leaving .
