"Beautiful apartment in a beautiful area"

9.0

Was right on the beach front and close to the pier

Ppl using the side of the house to cut through to the beach but that isn’t the owners fault

"A real home from home. Lovely apartment."

10.0

The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable and welcoming. Good parking, always a bonus. Location was brilliant, very near St Anne's pier, shops, bars and restaurants. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was more than adequate if you wished to do so. Bus service to Lytham and Blackpool was good and only a short walk from the apartment. Our contact with the hosts was positive. A lovely homely apartment to return to after a day out exploring. We enjoyed our short stay very much. Thank you.

To be really picky, I would say the bedroom window would benefit from some black out curtains/blinds. Apart from that observation, there really isn't anything to dislike.

"No View - tired stained furniture and a bad odour."

1.0

The booking process and the communication was good.

There was no view as stated on Booking.com or Beach view as stated on their website. The furniture was badly marked, fixings/skirting was broken, there was a smell that was hidden on first entering as the cleaner had just been in, but it soon revealed itself and was unpleasant. We could smell smoke from the hallway from a gentleman who was smoking at the bottom of the stairs. The apartment is next to the laundry room. On our arrival, we were approx 20 minutes early, so we had a look at the front door which was wedged open and a polite gentlman told us all the rooms were now ready and the keys were in the door, Whilst entering, he quickly ran in with a hoover, apologised and hoovered the sofa, but there was a stain on it that would not remove. The carpets were extremely worn. We vacated the property and messaged the owner. stating that we felt unable to stay due to the smell and aged condition of the furniture, and most importantly that there was no view which is the main reason for our booking. She asked me to show evidence that a view was advertised and I sent a screenshot of their website which stated 'Beach View'. She said that wasn't from the Booking.com site, so wasn't relevant, so I then sent one from booking.com which said 'View'. When we mentioned there was a piece of dog food on the floor, she told us it was our fault as we had arrived early. Upon asking for a refund, she said 'explain your grievance to booking.com, they will decide on any refund issues'.

"Short break in Lytham St Annes"

8.0

Very large apartment in a great location. Had a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Was quiet at night.

The bed was very squeaky and small for a double bed.

"Very good"

8.0

It was a lovely apartment in a great location. Easy to get to everywhere.

There were a few things that let it down. The first being the cleaning. It was generally clean, however the picture rails in the living room were full of dust and the coving full of cobwebs and the floors looked okay but needed a proper clean. Not a big issue as we cleaned them but had to borrow a mop and brush from my sister as there was none in the apartment. Being so close to the beach I think having a brush pan and mop is needed, especially if staying longer than a couple of days. The second issue was the noise from the main door, it was right next to our apartment and in the evening was very loud as people kept coming and going, maybe a sign to ask people to not slam the doors and to be as quiet as possible would be helpful. The wall clock in the living room needed a battery as it wasn't working, again not a big problem but it is a huge clock so it's very noticeable. Then there were no bowls for my dog. It did say there were pet bowls so I didn't fetch ours. Again I had to borrow some from my sister who luckily lived close by. Having said all that we did have a lovely week and those little issues didn't put us off. I only mention them to help the owners make it an even better experience for the next visitors.
