Woodland View Apartment

A really nice apartment. The owners messaged us before we arrived with some useful logistical information. Parking is on the street just outside the apartment (free). It's located just a few minutes drive from the town centre, and about 20 minutes from Woolacombe beach (great place to go in the summer). When we arrived at the property, we found a complimentary bottle of wine and some clotted cream biscuits, and a useful information pack that explained about the facilities, the local area and about what to put in each bin. The apartment itself had a good sized open plan living room/kitchen, with a sofa, tv, dining table, oven, hob, microwave and all the pots, pans and utensils you would need. The bedroom, located through some fun wild west style saloon doors had a good sized and very comfortable double bed, with a utility room attached containing a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, wardrobe space with hangers and a bathroom with a good sized and powerful shower. We spent 5 days there, and could easily stay longer, if we do come back to the area, this would be our first choice if it's available.

Ilfracombe itself was disappointing, although many other parts are great, for example Woolacombe and Heddon Valley. A little more instruction on the key safe would have helped.

Bed was a little hard and could have been larger (it was a standard double whereas the room could easily have taken a 5ft bed.

Great base to explore North devon well situated to access Ilfracombe.
