The Auld Kirk & Spa

Self catering with good selection of crockery, equipment etc. It's a "smart" house which is a bit quirky to gey used to. The excellent private sauna and hot tub were wonderful. Weather meant patio was not much use. Very private accommodation.

The "welcome" email with door code did not arrive, but the host quickly appeared. A washing machine in the kitchen would have been useful. Otherwise fine

Stunning. Interior designer did an amazing job, every inch of every room is well thought out and beautiful. The hosts were lovely. The garden was lovely. Nature walks and hikes all around and a few minutes walk from a delicious farm cafe. Truly unique stay.

The hot tub/sauna room was a lovely, unique experience. We'd have loved if the hot tub area could cooled down a lot though because whilst there was a shower (even the shower was high tech and wonderful) it was constant that we had to get out and cool down because the room got very toasty. Also the garden is not enclosed to let your dog loose. The stay would have been perfect if it were. But please don't allow these two points to deter you from staying. This was an experience, one that myself and my partner spent on our honeymoon and we'll never forget. We plan to return, no question about it.
