Whitby Wave breaker studio

Location was amazing. Bed was so comfy, everything was great for a two night stay. Height restriction so if you’re super tall it may not be the best but we thought it was quirky and fun

It looked lovely on the photos but It was basically a damp cellar. The ceiling height was lower than my husband’s height - he’s only 5”8 and had to stoop in places. There is no sound proofing between the ceiling and the floor of the flat above. The ceiling shakes whenever anyone walks in the flat above and feels like it is going to collapse. There are glass air bricks in the wall above the beds, which have holes in. You can hear everything from the street outside. It was a really unpleasant experience and a total rip off! It ruined our stay in Whitby.

The place only had one door and didn't have a fire exit or any other escape root in case off fire so if a fire broke out anywhere near the entrance I'm afraid you would not have much chance of surviving. There is two other doors within the property not including the bathroom or toilet but one was locked and the other was obstructed by a sideboard and two chairs and we did not check if that one was locked or not but no markings to say it was a fire exit so guess not a fire exit as obstructed.
