GBThe location was lovely as expected. The beds were comfortable.
It was described as luxury- but it was basic with cheap crockery and flimsy cutlery. No cafetière and a broken bottle opener and pans that didn’t work on the induction hob. The shower was blocked and flooded every time. However after the first day they did send someone to attend to the shower who ignored the sodden towels in the floor used to mop up the flood when they should have replaced them. Then it flooded again- so that after a shower it all poured out of the door. The coffee maker was not specified but it was one of those pod machines with two pods provided. I asked for a cafetière on the first day and they basically said they didn’t have one. The bottle opener was never replaced even though I raised this in the first day. This property and facilities cannot by any stretch of the imagination be called ‘luxury’. It’s at the end of the season and had tired feel about it. There were a few sachets of nescafé and a few of long life milk in the fridge and some teabags which felt rather mean consider considering it’s description. But the most frustrating was the lack of being able to make coffee in the morning and open a bottle of wine in the evening both of which I asked them on the very first day to attend to and they didn’t. They could’ve hoovered the stairs at the same time. I gave them an opportunity to respond to my messages and have left it a few days without any response, which is why I am putting this review on TripAdvisor.

GBGBThe sea view was fantastic and the location is great. Apartment is large with lots of bathrooms and is therefore great for a big group.
It wasn’t a problem for us but some would find the stairs hard but there is nothing the hosts can do about this and it is the nature of many properties in Whitby. We did have an issue where the parking scratchcard wasn’t in the property and wasn’t given to us until we left which didn’t help us pay for parking. They said they would refund our parking costs but haven’t yet and it’s been a few weeks

The amount of stairs leading to the apartment and the times to enter and vacate property 4pm to enter (unless you want to pay an excessive fee!)and 10am to leave !!
