Henley Hall, Ludlow

We wanted a little oasis of loveliness and found it here. It fitted the bill completely

Quirky little Gardeners Cottage with amazing gardens to enjoy.

Due to the age of the property it has a small quirky kitchen and slightly unusual downstairs toilet/ shower arrangement.

We had a 4 night stay at Henley Hall. It certainly didn't disappoint. We were attending one of the concerts held at Ludlow castle. Stayed in flat 3. It was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen has everything you require. The bathroom is a nice size, with a big bath and a great shower and lovely hot water. There is a dining table in the hallway and four chairs, one in each bedroom and two outside the bathroom. We set these up in the living so we were able to dine in the evening. There is a nice entrance into the the property where you can store outdoor shoes and ordance survey maps to borrow which was very helpful.. The area is very peaceful and a short drive into Ludlow and a Sainsbury's 5 minutes drive. We did walk to the local pub, that took 30 minutes,the walk is slightly unnerving with the traffic. We actually got a bus back that dropped us at the top of Henley Hall entrance, the buses are not regular and was on time. There is large charcoal bbq on site, but we used a small disposable one and it did the job. It is a lovely location to have a bbq and has outdoor chairs and table, we also had our own chairs. There is a tennis court on site as well. The internet access was very good, we did take our Bluetooth speaker. There is plenty of parking. Our host was excellent with communications. I would highly recommend staying here.

The grounds were amazing and the area was very nice. A great base for a stay in Shropshire.

There was a sooty smell when entering the property probably due to the log burner.

We hired 3 units for 16 of us (family 80th birthday) each was exceptionally clean & well equipped, everything we needed for an amazing stay, we had a game of cricket in the gardens, some lovely walks & good games of tennis. The grounds were so well kept and beautifully planted. The nosy cows & friendly cat were an added bonus.

The check out time of 10am was a little early but that's being really really picky.

The location near Ludlow was exceptional. The Orangery was absolutely beautiful and clean. Comfy bed. Had all the conveniences required for a great stay. Well stocked kitchen. Loved the beautiful gardens and the peace and quiet! Just what we had hoped for! Would definitely stay again! Lovely cows and friendly kitty!

I feel the decor of the bathroom area needed updating to match the stylishness of the rest of the space. It needed repainting and it looked very utilitarian. Also, wish there was a better location for the TV. But I’m not sure there could be! We still were able to watch it.

Stunning location. Attention to detail - complimentary kitchen basics & the welcoming prosecco. A stack of country life magazines was a thoughtful gesture and complimented the somewhat ‘rarified manor house’ experience. A lovely stream with stone bridge and suitably aged garden structures sit in beautifully manicured lawns and garden beds. The picturesque herd of beasts, sheep in paddock, birds, trees, fragrant roses and meandering garden paths were a delight.
