Stylish Coastal Retreat with Hot Tub & Log Burner in Margate

loved the hot tub and log burner and kitchen space. loads of items in the kitchen saved us from buying bits and we were able to cook! forgot to take my hair dryer but there was one in the place. hot tub was set up and easy to use same with the log burner (all information accessible on iPad in the property)

batteries were out for the remote and heating panel-however it was sorted within an hour (host immediately returned my message and sorted it out)

Location in Margate was great, easy access to everything. The apartment was very nicely decorated, with comfy sofas and beds. Great little welcome packs left on beds including shower gel, shampoo etc and also slippers. Magazines and games are a great addition to the apartment. Communication with the host was great, there was an issue with the hot tub but he came and managed to sort it out on the first evening of our stay which was greatly appreciated and we were able to use it the next morning.

Apartment is promoted as having a log burner which is a lovely touch, however no logs are provided so we were unable to use. Very unlikely people staying for a weekend will bring their own, so would be nice if some were provided. The apartment is set up for the use of 4 people however only 2 dressing gowns are provided . There was mould on the bedroom blind and in the bathroom which was not very pleasant. I understand that this is a basement flat and they are prone to damp, but it could do with some better cleaning or replacement of blinds maybe the addition of curtains that could be removed for easier cleaning. The back yard, where the hot tub is situated, could do with a bit of a tidy up under the stairs, perhaps with a small shed to keep all of the equipment for the hot tub together.

location - close to town centre and supermarket good shower, comfy beds and everything you could need in a kitchen - the lounge area and kitchenette were nice

We were excited about the hot tub facility and we were disappointed with this. the small back yard could do with a tidy up and a clean. The view from one bedroom was of a junk corner - this could be Made to look much nicer on the eye - the garden furniture was tired and uncomfortable …. there were 4 of us but only two bath robes - one each would have been nice although maybe we just didn’t find the other two. so we didn’t use the tub. The roller blinds in the two bedrooms (which you have to use for privacy as the stairs providing access to the upstairs flat give users a clear view into the rooms ) one was broken and the other one was very very dirty, which let a nice room down.
