Proximity to town

Black mould in bathroom, furnishes tired. No mirror/dressing table, uncomfortable furniture - shower not draining (rectified quickly), extractor fan in bathroom is full of dirt/dust. Booklets and tip box just dust gatherers

Location- despite being on a very noisy road it was walkable to town

Black mould in the shower cubicle, dirty extractor fan in bathroom. Mouldy damaged floor next to toilet. Uncomfortable sofa. Hedge cutting without notice. Only a all mirror on the chest of drawers - nowhere to blow dry hair/apply make up

Exactly as described, so lived up to expectations. Starter set of refreshments. It had been a long journey!

Sofa could be more comfy. We were there in summer and out of the premises most of the time. If it were winter a cosier sofa would be great. But then it would be perfect;

We’ve stayed in this property before and with feedback left last time, we were really hopeful that some of the apartment had been improved but sadly not 😔 In general the apartment is very tired and the finer details have been overlooked….Everything could do with a “freshen up”. Unfortunately the bathroom was quite poor, the shower head full of limescale, the shower trap and tray fills up with water, the floor boards around the toilet are particularly stained and dirty (stained with who knows what 😔) and generally very, very tired. The sofa in the lounge is a type of “click-clack” sofa bed….Not particularly comfortable for relaxing and in general the apartment had a damp feeling. The bedroom was ok, basic and needed a freshen up. The pillows and duvet were unfortunately were quite discoloured and with patches of stains and what not and seemed quite old and used. The approach to the front door was overly pleasant with broken guttering covered with sludge and slime and a cigarette box on the wall, stuffed with cigarette ends….It all felt very sad 😔 I actually really love this property for its location next to the Abbey grounds and the town but we will look for another property next year which is a real shame. Given a face lift and some attention inside and out, it would be absolutely stunning!

Location fabulous. Lovely period building. Parking very easy and convenient. Spotlessly clean.

Badly needs to be refurbished. Couch not comfortable. Curtains old and shabby.windows need replaced. Main road location ,not double glazed so noisy to sleep. Some blinds partly broken & wouldn’t stay up if a window was opened. Complicated kettle that delivered a cup of lime scale so could not be used. Topper on bed kept moving away from the mattress. Pillows very flat & need to be replaced. It could be made into a wonderful bijou place if invested in.

Although unfortunately we had leave a day earlier than expected, everything was great, with perfect location for our visit. This was our 2nd stay at the apartment and would definitely book again

Set on the road with ample parking so easily accessible. About 1/2 mile walk into town. The apartment is compact but has everything you’d need. Small but reasonably well equipped kitchen was ideal for us ( two adults) Similar story for the bathroom, small but functional, excellent shower. Living area has enough room to eat/relax. I’d imagine it would be a crush if there had been more than the 2 of us. Easy check in etc. Pub on the corner , and other amenities found in the nearby town. Bury is a good central base to explore Suffolk. Train station for trips to Ipswich, Cambridge, Newmarket, Ely is a 5 minute taxi ride away.

Apartment we had was upstairs which made the bag carrying difficult, but don’t suppose there is much that could be done other than ask for the other apartment.

Proximity to the centre of Bury St Edmunds. Could walk to the Cathedral and The Apex theatre. Pretty well equipped for our two nights stay. Liked having two TVs.

TV in the living area, had to reprogram it to get all the Freeview channels. Also it didn't have all the channels but the bedroom one did. I didn't like that I couldn't access free streaming apps such as BBC iPlayer etc but expected to sign up to Amazon fire. Had to speak to maintenance a few times about TV and then Wi-fi and then no extra toilet paper. However the gentleman on the end of the phone was very helpful and everything was rectified pretty quickly. Awful place to find! Better directions on Booking.com as it is tucked away a bit on a busy road.
