South Coast Haven Apartments

The bedrooms were spacious. You could just about see the sea from the second bedroom. The bathrooms were quite decent.

When we first arrived I was not impressed by the location of the property. It is on the corner of a busy main road on a very basic looking street. No nice houses here. It was dark with no lighting near the door and we couldn't see the numbers on the houses. It took a while to work out which was the right property and wasn't at all clear where we should be parking, which turned out to be wherever you can find a space on the street. The garden was overgrown and unloved, I wouldn't have wanted to sit out there. The apartment is actually a house split into 2. This means there was no table to eat at, only the breakfast bar with high stools which we couldn't use. I do not think it was clear on the webpage which photos belonged to which apartment, I thought the conservatory with table and chairs in would be part of our apartment. The big rooms were sparsely decorated, with hardly any furniture. The sofas were extremely uncomfortable, they seemed really cheap and too small for the space. There were 2 random chairs which looked like ones you'd use outdoors. The kitchen spotlights weren't working and there was a piece of red tape over one of the switches. We could have done with some coat hooks. The bedrooms are spacious but have hardly any furniture in them and what they have looks cheap. They hadn't made good use of the space. In the main bedroom we had one blind which was broken and one covered in stains. The bedroom was on the front next to the main road and it was noisy all night. We needed to use earplugs to sleep. The hot water in the bathrooms was scalding so we had to turn down the temperature.

Nothing, maybe we can say that welcome information was hidden and we did not find it until the last day, but this is nothing important :)

There was a mishap with the keys on arrival but this was sorted by the host really quickly.

Great location, close to amenities

It was spotlessly clean and a fair size with a nice outside area. The bedroom was large and had lits of space to store clothes. Bonus for us a TV in the bedroom!

The house is split and the people upstairs/adjacent had a small child that cried a lot and ran around which was quite noisy. The sofa in the lounge felt damp and had a weird smell, but thats me being a bit picky.

It was superbly decorated throughout. The location was great, just minutes from the coast. Also, the host was very helpful.

The location of the apartment is brilliant as it is very close to beautiful views of the sea. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern with a great shower.

Quite basic accommodation so felt a little bare. No mirror in the smaller bedroom. The blinds are quite thin so they let in a lot of light in the morning. We would have appreciated a welcome pack e.g. biscuits/milk. The outside area looks a little shabby.
