Katherine and her son made us feel very welcoming. The room was immaculate as was the location. The breakfast choice could not have been better, the home made marmalade is the best I have tasted. We hope to book with her again soon. Our thanks go to Kath and her son for making our stay enjoyable.

The rooms were a good size, very comfortable bed and pillows, we had a gorgeous view of the birds and the squirrels. Breakfast was delicious even after having to deal with a power cut! As a cat lover, there was a lovely black cat in the lounge who was very friendly. The hosts were great and communicated issues such as the power cut and any updates. It was just a short to Ballater when we went for food in the evening. Car park spaces available and though we didn't use it there were tea and coffee facilities available to use too. In terms of the continental spread, they had jams, toast to order, cereals, Greek yoghurt pots, fruit and lots of juices available! We were really impressed and thought it was very good! Our hot breakfast was delicious and you get a menu card to fill out with your options for the next day.

It was a bit noisy outside the room at night and as our room was directly in front of the stairs, you can hear all the comings and goings. But that is a minor thing and I we had an early bed so you can't fault people moving around after a certain time.

From start to finish we had a great stay. A lovely warm welcome from the owner, a comfortable sleep in an immaculate room and a tasty breakfast before departure. The perfect short stay. We will return to this lovely property in the future.

We had a lovely time here, it was a highlight of our trip to Scotland. It’s in a fantastic location and despite our short stay we loved everything about this place, including watching all the birds and red squirrels surrounding the property. The breakfast was delicious and so is the honey sold in the dining room. Our room was clean and comfy, the bathroom spacious and modern. We loved the black cat who joined us in our room! He was incredibly friendly and affectionate, it made us feel better as we were missing our own cat at home. Thank you for such a great stay :)

So clean, all facilities excellent, really good breakfast. Bird feeders just outside the breakfast window. blue tit, great tit, long tailed tit, coal tit, tree sparrow, siskin, chaffinch, robin, blackbird and red squirrel. Stunning! Very welcoming owners. Slept really well in lovely comfy bed
