Oulton Park Lodge

As a motorsport fan I loved the Lodge. I've seen it for many years while attending races and it was a privilege to stay for the night

Feedback from MSV was perfect via email - a full set of instructions written so well that it felt very obvious as to what you needed to do re: gates and key codes - a doddle, even in the dark. The thermometer is on the wall between the kitchen and the living room - thank me later. Being a listed building there's a few drafts but it was really windy the night we were there and the heating kept us warm. Facilities are very clean, we cleaned everything down when we left as it was just how you'd want it to be on arrival. Plenty of cutlery and crockery - you'll want for nothing. The garden is big and you can see why they say you can invite up to 20 people. We had it set as 2 x king bedrooms and it was spot on, they're great beds. As long as you're ok sharing the bathroom as we were - it's absolutely ideal. If you're a motorsport lover, it's fantastic. We used it to stay over before a trackday and it was quite weird standing on the circuit - beware, this was very early morning before staff arrived and it was not a live circuit, the signs on the gate give you instructions. Super quiet, great night's sleep and being able to cook your own breakfast before the day ahead was a welcome change. We met with the MSV people who dealt with our questions and they were lovely - thank you Jayne. Definitely will book again.

Difficult to pick on anything because value for money was ideal. I suppose there could have been a draft excluder by the 'back' door as it was very windy but I'm going way overboard here (fire regs might not allow that though). Nope, can't think of anything else.

Visiting Oulton Park for a track day, the Lodge was a great place to stay. the quality of the finish inside is excellent together with a great outside space its the perfect place to spend some time in.

The property was immaculately clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated.

The only thing we could slightly say that we didn't like was that we would recommend a draught excluder for the door in living room.
