The Carriage House

Peaceful with a lovely view and the house is beautiful.would recommend to anyone

A small and perfectly formed lodge house with parking. Quiet, immaculate, with a kitchen, shower room and a very comfortable double bed. A short walk downhill into Matlock Baths with all the eateries, watering holes etc. Great communication with the owner, directions were spot on. Will stay again when I’m back in the area, highly recommended.

Clean, warm & cosy, self catering, good communication prior to stay

Maybe an extractor fan above the cooker top and a splash back panel would be good

Location to local amenities and the immediate surroundings

No frying pan and could do with the paintwork having a freshen up

Lovely little place in a great location. Really clean and well presented. My daughter and I visited for a mini break and it was perfect. Will definitely be returning!

Excellent little house on the side of a hill above Matlock Bath. Perfect for a short school holiday getaway with my 3 year old daughter. Within walking distance of Gulliver's Kingdom, along the side of the hill, and a short walk/drive down to the main street. We arrived on the final night of the Matlock Bath illuminations - we were too late to book tickets for the firework display in town, but we got a great view from the balcony of the property!
