The Mash Tun - monstrous swank in a sleepy village

The location is outstanding. The apartment has everything in it you could need and the instruction folder was appreciated. The armchairs were an added bonus, the bed amazing as was the rainfall shower. Excellent host and wonderful pub/restaurant with tasty food.

We picked this for the quiet location (and the quirky room) and the first night we stayed was super windy. Nothing the host could have done about it which is why we didn't mention it but the wind caused the outside flaps of the bathroom extractor fan to rattle all night long which did impact on our sleep. However, the second night, with no wind was super peaceful and we slept very well.

Landlord was a great and explained all features of room upon arrival. The food was exceptional with great service at the restaurant. Would definitely recommend: cosy, clean, and a few hidden features ;)

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a fabulous place. I'm staying there again for sure - as many times as I can justify it with my job. Decor is sublime (should be showcased on TV as so much history in the furnishings), views lovely, very comfortable apartment. Hosts were brilliant. Loved watching the sheep in the field from verandah, as well as all of the birds. Love the fire screen greeting on the telly!

My only problem was wifi - but that might have been my laptop. John tried his best to get me connected.

Amazing decor, very comfy bed and well equipped kitchenette. Nice patio and spacious parking.
