The photos aren’t really reflective of the size dynamic. The kitchen and bar area looked to be the same room and they weren’t and there was a damp fousty smell downstairs which was still there 24 hours later

We came for a hen weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Big enough to accommodate everyone (23 of us) and there was plenty of space. The food was amazing- all home cooked and everyone commented on how good it was. Kelly was fab and went the extra mile for us. We also had dietary requirements and were really pleased with how everyone was catered for. Spa sessions were great as well. Would definitely book again!

I like the fact, that the building is big enough for a middle size family to gather together.

I was in shock when I realised, all of the bedding was used by previous guests! All of the bedding was dirty, and confetti was left under the duvets and pillows, topped with makeup and self-tanning spots. The jacuzzi's water wasn't changed either, the previous guests broke glasses and left glass shards in the jacuzzi. Thankfully, I was the unlucky one who got cut and had a shard stuck in my knuckle, not my children. The infrared sauna made the fire alarm system go off with a faulty message, every time we tried to use it, so we just gave up on it too. Most of the appliances are too old to work, so forget to use the blender or the microwave. Everything was so dirty and abandoned, the ovens were smoking because the leftover and overtime accumulated burnt food was smoking inside. The second day, even the jacuzzi gave in, the plug burnt down, and when the manager opened the panel, we saw, that it wasn't the first time! The other socket was melted. The rugs are full of hair, confetti and dirt, I don't think, that they own a working hoover. The bathtub was filthy. The manager tried her best, she bought us new duvet sets from Asda, and tried to fix the jacuzzi( with no luck, whatsoever), offered to change the duvets for us, but we decided to change them ourselves. So went to the local Asda, bought cleaning stuff and spent our Christmas day morning with kitchen and bathroom cleaning, duvet change and dusting.... We weren't able to use the facilities as we were expecting, only the steam room was working. The owner travelled to the property after I told them about our experience, I hope they will get an electrician, a cleaner and a hoover. The property would be awesome, and there is a big potential in it, but it needs proper maintenance.
