Modern 2 Bedroom Apartement

We liked how spacious it was.

Convenient location, responsive staff.

Unit was not cleaned on arrival and had an off smell. Significant wear on unit and mold present on windows/walls.

We liked where it was and that we could park outside the property so in all very convenient. When messaged owner to say we have arrived and didn't see how to enter and ask about the permit for parking he called instantly and explained. Lovey person very friendly!

Feel really bad having to write this! But On arrival we noticed the kitchen wasn't at all clean the fridge freezer had meat defrosted then refrozen along with a bag of ice too the microwave is rusted so we dare not use as it's a major hazard!! all the utensils and draws filthy food on them and spillage in! We Had to clean everything before using! Counter top had chunks missing due to it being burnt there where Missing parts to the cooker hood also very dirty! Was Supposed to have a sofa bed but when we looked at the sofa it was missing front panel and looked like it had collapsed so dare not open the bed out. so one person was forced to sleep on a broken sofa which wasn't comfy! Did message owner in arrival to say about issues and got a reply "Thank you so much for letting informing me ! Sorry about that I will take action soon as Enjoy your stay!" but nothing was done during our stay! Also booking had said property came with free complimentary toiletries etc shampoo, conditioner body soap yet these was only nearly empty bottles of other people's leftovers! (Me and my son came for a break away with my grandmother and her sister as my grandmother is very unwell and wanted to come to enjoy Edinburgh as it maybe the last time she has the chance!) Other than those issues it was a pleasant stay!

Good location to Edinburgh Castle (about a 30-minute walk).

1. There were lights out in the apartment building, so access to the flat was dark. There was litter and broken bottles outside the apartment building which did not give a good first impression. 2. The sofa couch was broken. 3. We had to wash cups and glasses before using them. 4. There was no coffee plunger or any coffee making device to make coffee. 5. There was a blow-up mattress in the lounge and baby high chair that we didn't ask for. 6. Nothing matched and crockery/ cutlery were bizarre. 7. There were no redeeming features. We have traveled extensively through Europe and the UK. This apartment was one of the more expensive ones we have stayed in, and it was by far the worst (so definitely not good value for money). 8. At the end of the hosts list of instructions, he requested us to send him a "secret" phrase to prove that we had read the instructions. We found this rather bizarre (and condescending)!!

It was difficult to find anything to like. This flat needs urgent inspection for health hazards ( black mould, damp and condensation). In light of this we won’t look at booking.com for holiday accommodation again.

The condition of the flat is awful. Condensation, damp and black mould left me with a bad cough which disappeared once home. The living area is used to sore a huge airbed - why? Kitchen surfaces worn and grubby.

Good sized apartment with potential

The accomodation was damp/mould the heating didn’t work and the walls / windows skirtings had live moulds growing. Soft furnishings were affected smelt awful , curtains were hanging off and were badly stained. Sofa was burst and kitchen lacked the basics , no oven gloves , kitchen roll or tea towels. So disappointing as it was anything but modern and definitely not the expected standard for booking.com went directly to the agent but never received any response to feedback . I can provide further photographic evidence of the issues experienced .

It was wheelchair friendly, good proximity to public transportation and dining options.

Flat had a water leak that had to be attended to. However swiftly death with by owner.

It’s close to city centre, there is a convenient store nearby.

The property is not very clean, smells mould inside and outside of bedroom. The furnishings are ancient and can do with updating. The work top table in kitchen are too old and it looks dirty no matter how you scrub them. There is no aircon or fan in property, it’s too hot but can’t open the window being in ground floor bedroom.

It was easy access to the city centre

The kitchen bench wasn't in great condition.
