The Wee Thistle

The location is just amazing! Enough space for 3 adults (with one in the living room on a sofa bed). Very comfortable, clean and everything you need. Reasonable price for the location and they were so kind as to let us leave our bags early. Would definitely recommend and happily return in the future.

Host was very responsive to messages throughout our stay. Check in procedures were very clearly written, including how many steps of the stairs after you entered the main gate. The apartment, though small, has everything you need for a short holiday ie fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, very powerful hair dryer. 2-minute walk to grocery - Sainsbury's Local, and few minutes walk to Victoria Street. Other attractions were within walking distance, though not very near.

There were expired foods in the cabinet, probably left behind by previous occupants. Not a big issue as we just threw them into the bin. Note to cleaner - check & clean washing machine's detergent dispenser. Also, the unused hand wash bottle in the toilet.

Close to the castle and grass Market. Secure. Clean. Able to access early and stay later.

Needs more comfortable chairs.

Perfect location - easily in walking distance of both new and old town. Views of the castle were absolutely great.

Sofa bed mattress could have been slightly thicker.

Fully equipped apartment, central location in old town and helpful contact persons.

Location fabulous as were amenities . Located in old town and close to pubs etc and Royal Mile

Location was great, I love the Grassmarket section of Edinburgh. A bit of an up and down hill walk from the train station; suggest a taxi
