Burray Apartments - Tangles, Kelpie & Selkie

The property is a little gem, only a few minutes from the ferry terminal. Three good sized bedrooms, one onsuite, a large well equipped kitchen, lounge with dining table; it is warm and homely with everything you need for a stay on the Orkneys. There is plenty of parking and it is a good base to explore from. Easy access to all the historical sites, the Italian Chapel is very close by. Kirkwall is an easy drive away for restuarants, supermarkets, shops, bars. Would definitely recommend. It was nice to go out and explore during the day, and then come back and relax the views of the shore.

Property was a little difficult to find, postcode on google maps sent us round in circles, it is set back behind the now closed shop and wasn't obvious.

Location was very good and the property was easy to find despite the fact we arrived at around midnight and directions from Stacey (host) and overall communications were very clear. In daylight the view was very nice. (There is a nice seafood focussed restaurant in Lady Margaret's Hope, just a short 10 minute drive. Also where the nearest shop is.) The front room / open plan kitchen is very spacious and gets lots of light. Parking is easy. Nice to have breakfast cereals provided.

Be aware that Tangles is the entire first floor and almost all rooms have sloping ceilings. Not a problem if you mind your head as there is plenty of space. Did not affect us but be aware the only shower is in the main bedroom en-suite

Beautiful apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. Everything you need is there. In an ideal location for sightseeing. I would definitely stay there again.

The apartment was perfect as a base for exploring Orkney. It was very comfortable, well set out and had everything that we needed for our first visit to Orkney. Plenty of space for car parking.

Spacious community space (much bigger than the pictures show), very well appointed, delighted with the milk cereal, biscuits provided for us - a real bonus. Excellent parking, clean and comfy. Bathroom and separate, loo and wash basin.

Nothing we didn’t know about. Double bedroom isn’t spacious and ceiling low above bed head (watch you don’t bump). Bathroom is through the double bedroom.

Was very spacious. wheelchair friendly. Comfortable. Well equipped. Ideal position for touring and only 10 mins from the ferry,

Nice appartement. We had everything we need. The location is good. You can go everywhere from here and it is close to the pentland ferrie.
