Burray Apartments - Tangles, Kelpie & Selkie

Liked that the property welcomed dogs and was close to ferry. Milk, biscuits and cereal were a lovely touch.

There was nothing to dislike but property description would benefit from a few notes - bring flip flops for bathroom, bring tea and coffee (one tea bag and a teaspoon of coffee was provided).

Quiet area. Plenty of parking. Apartment was warm with good wifi. 02 and Vodafone were just as fast as the WiFi (circa 65 mb/s). Milk and cereals and a selection of biscuits were provided. Kitchen had everything you would need. Just a 10 minute drive from the Ferry at St Margaret's Hope. Tesco and Lidl 20 minutes away in Kirkwall.

Living room window could do with a blind esp for low winter sun.

Four adults stayed for 2 nights but were away for most of the day at a family celebration locally. Good location for our visit. Good sized kitchen and living room. Easy convenient parking. Nicely decorated, tidy and generally clean. Quiet and peaceful despite 2 other holiday lets on ground floor and another house opposite.

Only shower was en- suite to double room so only accessible through that room for others. Flat appears to be conversion of attic/ top floor so steep eaves make for some restricted head room in bedrooms. Despite a number of no smoking signs there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke particularly on one windy day suggesting someone in the flats below had been smoking. As non smokers this was not ideal. Hot water ran out quite quickly if anyone had a shower. This was in the notes for the property and you can boost the water heater but it isn’t particularly quick to heat up.

T & K 3 Bed Apartment ( upstairs) is well located for moving around Orkney, only 10 minute drive from St Margaret's Hope Ferry Terminal. The Apartment is well laid out with large sitting / kitchen / diner room. The bedrooms are adequate size with plenty Towels in the Bathroom. Everything you need for self catering is provided (except your food:)) Milk, crisps, biscuits even shortbread made available - nice touch!. Local Hotel 10min walk - worth a visit. Would we stay again - definitely

The housekeeper must have forgotten about the bottom section of the Oven - oops. The stairs up to the apartment are quite steep. Not a problem for us but maybe for others, also a guard rail of some sort at the top for very young children - again not a problem for us

Very clean and quiet and well equipped. Host was excellent at communicating. Good for dogs.

Iron and ironing board would have been useful!

Excellent location for the Southern Orkney Isles. Peaceful and friendly village location very close to the ferry terminal at Hope St Margaret and inly 25 mins from Kirkwall
