West Port - 2BR in the heart of the old town just off the Grassmarket

The only good thing was the location.

It was dirty and dusty. Had stained bedding, settee and carpet. No hot water in bathroom and kitchen taps, shower was little more than a dribble and ran either cold or scalding, cracked dining chair which was dangerous, ill equipped - no cutting board, no serrated knives, filthy entrance.

Convenient to restaurants , Castle & train station

Key access on the ground - very dirty. Bathtub needs a non slip mat

Very good communication prior to arriving. Really nice apartment, very nice and clean. Very warm and homely, like a home away from home. Nice and close to everything, great view of the back of the castle out of the living room window. Will definitely be booking again!!

Location! Everything i needed. Being able to do laundry.the view of the castle. Felt homey.

The 2 flights of stairs going into the apartment. I dont think they were listed in booking.com. I did fine but it was hard going out with my luggage. The tub/showe has no grab bars. It would be helpful to add one.. the mattress in the bedroom streetside was worn and irregular.

Very central, clean (although carpet would benefit of a good wash and mattress and pillows might be due for replacement). Well equipped, spacious, even with a window view over the castle Excellent communication with hosts: well impressed with the fast response to queries. Overall a very positive experience

To reach the apartment you need to climb two flights of stairs. I would suggest making this clear in the description

Bathroom immaculate

The headboard on bed was dusty. The entrance corridor very musty. Two flights of metal stairs difficult for elderly people, should be stated.

This 2 bedroom property was in an amazing part of Edinburgh walking to many restaurants to the castle and lots of entertainment. It had everything we needed and property managers were good with communication.

The cost was fairly high for the quality but the position was spot on. I felt the carpets needed a good clean. Would be good to have an iron and ironing board. We had traveled from Australia and had a wedding to attend so would have made it better to be able to iron our cloths.
