Central location, quiet, comfortable

Maybe need to update photos as there isn’t a bath, though the shower was great

Well presented property with all we needed. The shower was good and easy to use. It was only a short walk to the lovely Peebles town centre and there were fabulous local walks along the river and also hikes to the local hills and forest. We had no issues parking on the street. We would happily stay here again if in the Peebles area.

Not a criticism, but people staying might need to be aware that hot water needs to run for a while to come through. We were not sure it was working when we first turned the bathroom tap on.

The flat was very stylishly furnished and had a great social layout with the breakfast bar/kitchen/lounge. The flat was homely, cosy and warm. The bed in the main room was very comfortable! The owner had excellent communication and provided us with a request of a caffitiere prior to arrival and checked we were happy throughout our stay.

There was no bath, but the shower room was very warm and the shower was powerful. The bottom of the stairs was cold and no where to store shoes. Perhaps a curtain to draw at night and a shoe rack on the wall would be a good idea. There is little to fault, we would definitely return.

Great location for exploring. Quiet street so easy to park your car. Nice kitchen. Small but beautifully formed bathroom with excellent shower. Comfortable large double bed with lovely linen, liked that a lot.

A few tiny things but we were on holiday. It’s not always home from home. Could benefit from nonstick saucepan. Something that could be used in the microwave would be good. We still enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location as we were through for peebles highland games at haylodge park. Was spotlessly clean very homely. Plan to book again for same time next year but maybe a day longer next time. Would highly recommend if you want somewhere where you can feel right at home 🏡

Clean, neat, tidy, recently refurbished, handy to Tesco. Small but very good bathroom, comfortable bed, good central heating once it’s going. The hosts, Ash and Kenny, were caring, helpful and great to deal with. Handy parking in the street outside.

We discovered on arrival that it was on the first floor. We wouldn’t have booked it if we’d known that as, on medical grounds, I’m not supposed to carry bags upstairs. Also we’re in our 70s. Younger couples might not mind the upstairs location. In discussion with the hosts,we eventually found two descriptions on booking.com of the property. One, which we’d seen, didn’t mention the upstairs location. The other description, which we hadn’t seen, did mention it. We discussed this in detail with the hosts. We felt they’d done all they could to ask booking.com to state the upstairs location clearly upfront; but this hadn’t been done. We had to change our external footwear on entry at the bottom of the stairs and as this is a tiny space and I’m a big guy, it wasn’t easy, especially on arrival with bags. However, the stairs are carpeted and Ash, our host, asked us to remove external footwear before going up the stairs. Thank goodness, we didn’t arrive in the rain. We found no user instructions for the central heating, hob or TV and found each hard to operate. However, Kenny, Ash’s husband, is an angel and came quickly to help when we needed it.
