WE GOT TO STAY IN AN ACTUAL CASTLE!!! Yes, a modest one, but a true Scottish Castle. The building has the charm of a castle with a modern interior. They recommended an amazing place nearby for a special dinner (my birthday), Broomhall Castle. We discovered Blairmains Farm Shop with lots of great food options. Access to Stirling was nearby by car (20 minutes). Menstrie is a small town with a limited number of shops and restaurants, but it is definitely charming.

We really enjoyed our stay at Menstrie Castle. The apartment had everything we needed with some nice little touches. Clean and spacious, nice decor, felt like a home from home. Plenty parking spaces available.

Beautifully decorated and comfortable floorplan

Thought there was a washer and dryer in the dungeon. Never found it so disappointed.
