Menstrie Castle Stay

Everything, the flat was so comfortable and tastefully decorated it was a pleasure to come home to after a long day out. The bedrooms were large and the host left a lovely welcome package.

Well equiped and clean appartment. Tracy is responding very quickly and provides excellent advice.The environment is calm and a supermarket is in walking distance.

A second toilet would have been nice in a flat for four, otherwise everything was perfect!

Spacious unit for two. Quite location. Ground level, no need to bring heavy luggage up and down the stairs. All the basic provisions are present. Although breakfast is not provided, there are free fresh milk, tea, coffee and snacks.

Shower screen was too short, 1/3 of the bathroom is wet when taking a shower. Sofa is too soft. Non-stick pots and pans. Plastic kettle.

It was so central to be able to travel. The area was magic

A fantastic apartment in a great location. A castle stay with all the modern amenities.

The apartment is very comfortable. The ‘Dungeon’ laundry room is very interesting. It was the only interior space that really said ‘castle’, besides the thickness of the walls.

The bathroom needs better lighting.

Menstrie Castle is a beautiful and comfortable stay while traveling. It is stunning and incredibly clean. It is quiet, cozy, historic and cool. There is a wonderful kitchen to prepare your own meals, which is a welcomed comfort while traveling and the decor and furniture make everyone feel you are staying at home and not on the road. Numerous restaurants and a grocery market are a short walk away which makes things even easier and several towns and cities are short drives from Menstrie as well. There is also an on-sight laundry facility and a babbling brook nearby to accompany your morning walks. The mountains provide a magnificent backdrop..especially in the mist or sun of the day. Kitchen tech and selection is brilliant and the WiFi was very very fast and reliable. The hosts are friendly and welcoming with keen eyes for decor and comforts. Given my ancestral connection to this castle, its former residents and history, it was a tremendously meaningful stay for me, but anyone with or without family connections to this castle will enjoy a lovely and fantastic stay in this gorgeous and historic setting. I look forward to returning as often as possible upon future visits!!
