Elmdale Hut - Shepherds Hut

The little cottage is situated beside the main house and immediately gives a wonderful, welcoming impression. Beautiful pots filled with roses, flowers and shrubs surround the cottage, while the small staircase leading up to the door adds to its charm and character. The interior is naturally compact, but it has been thoughtfully designed and lovingly furnished. The beautiful kitchen tiles, wooden panelling, and the windows, doors, cupboards and drawers, all finished in a consistent rustic style, create a warm and cosy atmosphere. The facilities are better than those in many much larger accommodations. In addition to a large and comfortable bed, which occupies a significant portion of the space, there is a small table, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with a shower. The shower deserves a special mention: for a converted wagon, it is exceptionally spacious, comfortable and works remarkably well. Another highlight is the excellent Wi-Fi. Not only was it completely reliable throughout our stay, but it was also impressively fast, making it easy to research local attractions and plan our daily excursions. Jen was a wonderfully friendly and attentive host. She gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and kindly allowed us to park on her driveway, which was extremely helpful. We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation and would happily stay here again.

The hut is very lovely and has everything you could need for a weekend away. On arrival, we received a warm welcome. The price was very reasonable and we would recommend in general. WiFi was great and access to TV streaming was a bonus too.

We were a little surprised at how close we were to the owner's house but probably didn't read the blurb properly. Bit lacking in privacy.

The hut was really well designed and beautifully made, with great attention to detail. The interior was finished to a high quality. The shower was far better than expected and we had everything we needed.

I arrived late and the hosts left the lights and the little heater on for me Had everything you could need, lovely small touches Loved the homely cosy feel Parking at the property is tricky but they gave info well before my stay on where to park very nearby and this wasn’t an issue for me Host even caught me before leaving to ensure I had enjoyed my stay Only downside is I wish I had been staying more than 1 night… will definitely look to stay here again !
