Apartment Chic

Ideal location, well kitted out, very cosy.

Nothing to not like, short distance from the beach, pubs and eating places.

We loved sitting in the bay window and just watching Barmouth go by, whether with a tea, coffee or glass of wine.

The location was ideal for what we wanted The Apartment was very comfortable

The kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans, culinder, bottle opener etc. The apartment block was nice and quiet and we didn’t have to share the outdoor communal space with anyone. The tv / Netflix worked well. There were books / dvds / games / buckets and spades to borrow. It was literally a 4 minute walk to the town, coming in at the Co-op side and a 5 star chippy. There was ample space to park on the ride.

The basics were missing- although it was equipped with the above, I’d read that some reviewers had received tea, coffee, biscuits, even bara brith or homemade lemonade on arrival yet we were left with 2 teabags and about 2 teaspoons of sugar. There was no hand soap in the kitchen or even in the bathroom and we were left 1 toilet roll for 3 of us for 3 nights. When you pay £432 for 3 nights I did expect there to be tea, coffee & sugar plus more of the basics like more than one tea towel and washing up sponge and some soap. I had to wash items in the kitchen prior to usage as they weren’t clean and the flat was dusty. All of us found the bath/ shower system fiddly. The paperwork in the flat says to run the bath you turn the shower on then just turn the bath tap / spout and it will run, but it didn’t work so I had to fill the bath via the fixed shower head. The 2nd hand held shower head wouldn’t work at all and usually I’d normally clean and rinse out the tub with the shower head afterwards. The double room is a tad small. I’m not a large person but the bed is so close to the opposite wall that I must have caught my feet/ ankles a dozen times and when I managed to avoid that I seemed to crack my head on the hook unit that’s been fixed onto the wall.

Perfect for a weekend in Barmouth.

Property clean and had everything needed . Host communicated well before stay and during with any questions had. Excellent location to reach everything we needed . The only grievance had is I didn't book for longer !

Roy is a brilliant host. He simply does everything possible to give the best possible stay. We love Apartment Chic, this was our second visit within a few years and highly recommend it.
