"Brilliant place to celebrate"

Location was brilliant and quirky. Apartment was spotless and well supplied with everything you could think of. Well suited for walkers. Superb sea views .

"Really unique place to stay"

Fort Picklecombe is an unusual building with a unique history and that was one of the main reasons for visiting. The ground floor apartment opened out onto a balcony with the sea only a few metres away - wonderful to watch during the summer storm that happened when I was there. There is also excellent walking from the Fort

The underground parking and corridors leading from it to the apartment were dully lit. I felt totally safe, but it was a bit unwelcoming (it's a problem I see with a lot of apartments that were built/created in the 70s & 80s). However, the lift worked fine and once in the apartment, it was soon forgotten.

"Quiet stay by the sea"

I booked the place mainly because of its location so I can have a seaview and stayed in a historical fort, I am so pleased with my stay even though just before going I was without my car but with some careful planning using public transport and good suggestion from my host Heather, everything worked out well. The apartment had everything I need, very comfortable and quiet, lots of coastal and country walks around and residents in the block were friendly. There were books on local history and information about the fort provided in the apartment. Relaxing holiday in a hidden gem.

Should have booked staying longer.

"An unspoilt corner in a beautiful area of Cornwall"

Location Location Location So quiet and peaceful right on the water front . You couldn't be any closer without swimming . Walking to Cawsands a short pleasure

Walking was great for us .However the climb up to the road is steep and not for the faint hearted.
