Driftwood Luxury Apartment

Very nice apartment right in the center of town, close to everything. Even included a washing machine, a pleasant surprise for our longer stay.

The only thing I didn't like was that the mattress was not firm at all -- my partner ended up sleeping on the couch.

Comfortable apartment in a very good location. Definitely not 'luxury' but enough for a family with kids. For little kids who don't sleep in their cots anymore but come to your bed at night, the double bed is quite small for this, and a sofa in the living room is not very comfortable for adults (stiff).

Communication with the owner was an absolute nightmare. I made an error in my booking (for 3 nights) and immediately contacted the owner to either cancel the booking or rebook the whole stay. With owner unwilling to cancel free of charge, we provisionally agreed a new date. An hour later or so, upon writing to confirm the new date (had to agree leave from work for this, and also limited by kids' schools etc), I got a message from the owner the date got booked by someone else. No attempt to block the date/ be helpful/ make things smooth. I called booking.com and explained I was already fed up with the situation and can we please cancel free of charge? The consultant supported my request and stated it should really just be a formality, he will speak to the owner. No agreement from the owner again. Through booking.com I was then trying to agree a new date (I know, sounds like pulling teeth!). The owner only had 1 date in mind and didn't agree to any different date. This was despite the fact the apartment was available on booking.com on some of the dates I was interested in (but he claimed it's not available). This experience was unlike any other communication I've ever had with anyone from Dorset, normally friendly, helpful people. The stay felt forced and I wasn't looking forward to it. I'd like to think the owner will acknowledge he could have been more helpful/kind (not holding my breath though).

Immaculate and comfy,very well equipped above hardware store. Very close to sea, promenade, restaurants and shops.

Note: access via external stairs and public car park ( £30.00 for 3 days) is 400yds away up fairly steep hill.

We obtained the key from Rainbow, the shop below. The manager was a real gent: friendly and helpful. He told us if we had any problems or queries we could come to him (we didn't have to) and as I am disabled I really appreciated his help with our luggage up the stairs to the apartment. He made the process easy and we were so grateful for his help.

Nothing: we couldn't have had more help or support.

Fantastic location, right near beach and shops, restaurants etc. Appartment was very well equipped.

This place has it all👍 It's surrounded by restaurants, museums and shops. Nice and clean apartment, good facilities, comfy bed...you can see the sea🌊 I didn't want to leave...I could easily live there🔥
